I used to book Dr. Khalid’s speaking engagements in the 90’s. He’s eaten at my dinner table many times. He ALWAYS talked about how much he loved Phillis. Yes, he had a big ego and I once heard him tell a guy, “I forgot more Islam than you’ll ever know” but he was extremely intelligent. I’d love to connect with this amazing soul and sister. Great interview! ❤

I have loved this women since childhood! Her beauty, physique, and talent is top-tier 💯! Always poised, required respect, but was still funny and down to earth. This interview confirms my assumption that her “absence” from mainstream was due to colorism and industry politics. This is the best interview CH has dropped 🔥! I love to see how this platform has continued to develop. Salute to the CH team and the immensely talented Phyllis Yvonne Stickney! PS - I was hoping the sitcom “New Attitude” with her and Sheryl Lee Ralph and Morris Day would be mentioned 😂. Look for it on KZbin. They were so gorgeous on that show!

I you her so much! I'm a color struck, light skinned black woman, but I think this lady is one of the most beautiful, most articulate, most real, smart, very intelligent, graceful, classy, and very respected black women of all times! There aren't many like her anymore, especially in the industry, but I love that she's the REAL DEAL, and I believe this bcuz I can feel her spiritually. She's authentic in every way. She's the real deal! Much love and many blessings to you Ms. Stickney! You're one of the best there ever was!❤
