Actually, we were totally surprised in 1973, in fact it was considered the biggest military-intelligence failure until Oct 7th. Btw, Arabs started that war on October 6, 1973, 50 years later Hamas attacked and it's no coinsidence. Luckily, Arabs suck in fighting an actual army, so the element of surprise can't help them for long.
