Two of a Kind! - Decorah Eagles DNF, Mr North, DN17 & DN18 (6/28)

The remains of the nesting platform and supporting branch finally fell to the ground last week - but this family has moved on to broader explorations, with new skills for the fleglings that have eliminated any need for nesting. All is going well for this happy eagle family!
0:08 - Fledgling overlooking the kingdom on a beautiful Friday morning
0:51 - Eaglets frolicking together on the ground
2:16 - Lovely fly-in! Dashing duo hanging out on a perch
3:40 - More ground play - this time with some sort of food, perhaps?
4:56 - The fledglings revisit the remnants of the nest, still quite impressively intact, on the ground - picking at nestovers. Mom has been eating here at times, even since the nest fall.
7:31 - Fledgling follows parent in flight... but not so much following suit with the landing. Keep watching for fledgling fly-bys!!

It’s always so wonderful to see the two fledglings DN17 and DN18 and it’s wonderful how an Eagle family can adapt to whatever limb they can find and make it work for them.🥰🦅🦅🦅🦅. Mom and dad have done such an awesome job with their E’s since the falling of the nest and boy!😮 was it ever so frightening to see happen too and I bet it was too for the fledglings too and mom and dad also. Eagles are so amazing in that they will do whatever it takes to survive and take care of their young like DNF and Mr. North have done. The last video I saw of these two was a notification this morning and I watched it and I tell you, it made me cry happy tears cause I believe it was DN18 who was (in my option) illuminated but the early morning sunlight and it was so majestic looking and I just couldn’t get enough of that view.🥰❤️🦅. The sky then cleared up and there were sun rays with blue sky and it was all just so awesome. But anyway, thank you Wings of Whimsy for your awesome videos and have an awesome and blessed day. Let's say that they were forced to adapt to negative events!! This family, especially the Eaglets, they makes me a lot of tenderness, they still needed their nest!! So much so that they continue to return there, for them a point of reference to receive food, even if very uncomfortable for eat!! I hope at least that these splendid but unfortunate Eaglets, will benefit from this bad event. Sometimes negative things help you overcome difficulties in life!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

This is my favorite video. I love seeing the two babies/siblings hanging out together and still sharing a life together. It looks like they are starting to try and find food on their own. Do siblings ever stay together or do they always separate and have different lives?
