You do a really good job of thinking ahead regarding what folks might ask about the cooking process and you explain things incredibly well. I wish my kids could have had you for a teacher- in All Grades. Lol. And I really wish you’d been my professor in graduate school. You also would be a grand counselor at universities who helps folks with their education plan, required courses, etc, great in so many arenas not just educational. If you are like your Dad then he must have been an awesome evangelist.

When my sweet Mama was still with us, she made hundreds of these every year. She also made coconut balls, pecan balls, and pounds of fudge to give as Christmas gifts. She did this from the time I was in my early teens until She passed when I was 60 years old.

I use the same ingredients as you do but in a much bigger quantity.. I make 300 balls for sharing with my family and friends. I also do a similar recipe using cream cheese instead of peanut butter and use a variety of flavorings. My family loves them and always look forward to having them in their goodie bags at Christmas. Thanks for sharing another great recipe. Can’t wait to see what you are making tomorrow. 😊

My mom has made these type of bon bons for years at Christmas time , but as she’s getting up there in years , 90 this coming March! , she hadn’t made them in a long time. Just yesterday she mentioned that maybe we should make them this year, after watching your video I think we will! She always dipped her bon bons , (peanut butter, chocolate rum, cherry nut, vanilla, and orange,) in milk chocolate but I think the vanilla would be a nice variety as well. Do some of each. My mom can’t do much in the kitchen anymore as her eye sight has been failing her the past few years but with her tutelage hopefully I can achieve at least close to the delectable bon bons she used to create and give her a chance to re-visit a memory or two ! Thank you for sharing your version , and I love the snowball title!

I have made 4 batches, my family and friends are saying thank you and I am too. The vanilla is a little harder to work with than the chocolate, but we are getting there. I am wheelchair bound from a work-related injury (I am nurse), my Christmas gift to everyone is cookies and candies. this is so much better than my other recipe. I enjoyed the entire 13 days of recipes. the butter pecan fudge is next.

I make buckeyes every year for Christmas, I do mix a little bit of parfait Cooking Wax, it helps the dip to stay on the peanut ball a little better .. These look Yummy , Thanks For Sharing .

Gotta have these every year. Our family calls them buck eye balls. We use dark almond bark and a small spot is left bare on top, mimicking the buckeye nut/fruit.

My recipe is 2 cups powered sugar,. 2 cups rice krispies 18 oz crunchy peanut butter. Chill a little add powered sugar over them. Yum yum.

I love peanut butter balls dipped in white chocolate. I don't know if you know it, but the 12th night after Christmas begins Mardi Gras season, and Fat Tuesday, the end is the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday. I lived in New Orleans when I was young, and Mardi Gras is so much fun!!!!
