I really enjoy your "quiet" videos - just the sound of the tools and your hands working the materials. Your book is truly amazing - the work, blood, sweat, and tears of producing it were well worth the effort. Scratch Lucy behind the ears for me - a great guard dog!

Very interesting technique and the results are wonderful ❤ love the themes too. I don't enjoy doing Coptic stitch myself but it seems that this multi-needle technique allows greater control over stitch tension, hence the perfect finish 😊

Thank you so much for sharing these vids ! I was really looking for a lay-flat notebook, and I made it thanks to you ! Only had 1 needle for 6 holes, but it went quite well. It's obviously far from being as perfect as yours, a tad too lose, but I'm very very happy with it.

This is so exciting! Ive been following you since your second studio vlog and I’m thrilled to see you are getting to bind some copies of your own book! Congrats!!

i’ve been doing coptic style binding for 4 months and still love the process every time i sit down to make a book. next month i’m gonna do sewn board binding from your book and i’m so so excited! it’ll be great to have a “hardback” option without diving deeply into case binding just yet!

Is that a foam brush?! 😮 I never would have thought of that! Way better than a paintbrush.
@lindahigham531711 ай бұрын
I love using a foam brush it's so much easier than a regular paint brush
@bittermelonbindery11 ай бұрын
I like the application of foam but bristle brushes last longer. So I'll use foam on more delicate projects or if I want to prevent any glue pooling.

So beautiful! Have not seen 4 needle Coptic technique before - do you prefer this method? What are the pros and cons compared to using one needle? Would love to hear your thoguhts

Check out Stone Burner Books' for a discussion on this! Personally I think the multi-needle is sturdier but the single-needle allows for more design and customization.

Gorgeous work 👏 Very subtle designs too. How would you make a baby's board book?
@bittermelonbindery11 ай бұрын
I haven't tried that but I think Coptic stitch would be my first consideration if you can figure out how to create the signatures out of boards.

@@bittermelonbindery ah thank you Chanel ☺️ a second question, but is Mod Podge Matte a good adhesive for starting out? I've used regular PH neutral PVA on the few I've previously done, but have a load of Mod Podge from other crafts 🤔
@bittermelonbindery9 ай бұрын
Sorry just saw this! Mod podge is acid-free I believe so you can use it, I just don't know the strength of the glue. Wouldn't hurt to try!
