I love what you said. “Have a heart of celebration for others.” I too believe it’s important to celebrate Thankfulness as uniquely as each of our individual families are. God placed us in our families for such a time as this…..Celebrate the gift of each other. ❤

Oh the stew looked so good! I enjoyed your relaxed approach to the table. I host our (Canadian) Thanksgiving, average is 25 people, held in a heated barn. I bought “catering”dishes, plain white, and mugs. I only prepare the turkeys and gravy but setup still takes my hubby and myself a few days, pacing ourselves. Lots of lists, that is my style. Ours is a coordinated potluck, so people offer what they will bring. Then a hayride to finish it off. And if I provided paper plates (as I have in the past), no one bats an eye. They just say thank you for the gathering, which is the important part. I find the more relaxed meals are much more fun.

What a beautiful video - gorgeous footage, comfortable atmosphere, lovely table scape, delicious looking food, and sweet as well as helpful thoughts. Thank you for taking the time to make it for us. The day after seeing your thrifted turkeys I saw the same big one at my friend's house. I can guarantee she didn't spend $89 on it! They must have been easier to come by sometime in the past.

The colours on your branches are just perfect for your tablescape. Natural elements are the best in my opinion 😊 I am Canadian and I often wondered why I see so many Americans eating their daily meals on paper plates. It doesn't make sense to me personally for a number of reasons, the top two being a waste of money and a whole lotta garbage. Don't most people have dishwashers? But I do understand your point of making it ok to follow your own 'normal'. Thank you for sharing your decorating tips. Your new home is beautiful and the recipe looks delicious 😊

The corn husk turkeys were a hit about 20 years ago. They are still cute but nobody in their right mind would pay $89. Some Etsy shop owners need to take a step back into reality. Your fall colors are beautiful! I live in the southern part of Texas and if it’s not green it is brown.

Your (telescope (oops, key swiping) ) tablescape is beautiful. You might want to double the paper plates if you do a buffet or the good will hit the floor on the way to the table. Just talking from experience. Only did paper plates once, never again.

@@GraceInMySpace yep I used paper plates my first thanksgiving hosting because I didn’t have enough China or everyday plates. Big mistake. Never did that again in the last 45 years. I put everything in the dishwasher and my Lenox never has had a problem. Renting a carpet cleaner and all that work. We laugh about it now.
