I don't know how old you are. but having a pet or pets at home and reading about their behaviour, feeding, general care and breeding habits gives you some valuable knowledge. Then you could contact a local wildlife sanctuary or wildlife rescue organisation and try to join and become a carer. It is so rewarding. That is what I did and I have been able to have amazing experiences with wild animals. Good luck and God Bless you and your desire to interact with wild animals.

One of the things that amaze me most about humans (in a good way) is our ability and willingness to cuddle with just about every other creature from the animal kingdom. Even animals that to our knowledge do not display cuddleing as a "natural" behaviour. If it has a pulse, we will cuddle it, and it will enjoy it. It is just so cool that we have this superpower!

I'm 80+ and together with my "wife companion" have saved and share our home with 22 cats, 6 senior dogs and anything else that shows up here in the wilds of this state in Northern USA. We never have any money after buying good food for them and paying out for extortionate vet fees but it's more than worth it. We just had a mamma cat who was feral give birth to 6 beautiful healthy kittens 4 weeks ago and they all live inside the house very happily, and two families of feral cats raised their new families in heated sheds in our back garden. We feed them all good quality cat food twice a day and they are all thriving really well. They had their families during the really cold icy snowy spell a while back but the warm sheds got them safely through it and now they fuss around my wife when she goes out to feed them. They are happy where they are but I guess some of them will come to live indoors when they get older. Hopefully we will still be here to give them the love and care they need and deserve. Animals are wonderful and none of them fight with each other. As you say it's their love that binds us all together. Take care and be safe and well. I love meerkats, but then again there are so many animals I love. ALL are my favorite! I love crows, I love squirrels, I love cheetahs, I love.....ALL! When I was gifted a stray cat the first name I wanted to give him was 'meerkat' like a shorten name as to 'come here cat! But, ended up naming him Jack. The closest take on Meerkat I could come up with. BUT, whenever I would call him I would say Meerkat and he would come running to me! He passed away and I still miss him!!! I still cry for him.

Il ne faut jamais toucher un faon. Même si on ne voit pas sa mère , elle n'est pas très loin et reviendra le nourrir Même seul, il est protégé car encore sans odeur caractéristique qui pourrait attirer les prédateurs. Par contre sa mère, sentant votre odeur sur lui risque de l'abandonner. Alors si l'on veut le secourir, avant de faire quoique ce soit bien étudié si il est vraiment seul et sans la protection de sa mère. Un petit animal, ne connaissant pas encore le monde, risque de venir par curiosité et ne sentant pas encore le danger. Même avis donc, faire très attention avant de faire n'importe quoi. Faire attention à ne pas deranger la nature par ignorance ou par desir humain n'ayant pas sa place la plupart du temps!
