I’m siding with Dundee on this one and I’ll explain why: I think that if something happens to Baas and/or Andrew’s (which it might not happen 🤷🏼‍♀️), I think things could really change for the PD. And the revolt against PD could become more extreme. There’s so many possibilities for this situation. I always anticipate what’s to come in this arc.

It sucks to see how discouraged the IA guys gets OOC because their work is basically pointless and a waste of time since they are investigating somebody who is untouchable, so they are basically spending time and putting in work for no reason, it makes internal affairs in general pointless. I don't mind cops being corrupt and I think Andrews and Baas killing Dundee was a really interesting scenario and it has lead to a lot of interesting storylines for a lot of people, but when internal affairs have in-character figured out EXACTLY what happened, they know what Baas, Andrews and 4T did, they have basically been caught planning and committing a murder or at least attempted murder and still nothing is going to happen, it just leaves the story without an ending and we'll just have to pretend nothing happened and all these weeks have just been filled with wasted time. Nopixel does have a big problem, they really want serious roleplaying and serious storylines, the potential of this story is one of the things that is really encouraged there and that people do get excited about, but that is never going to work when there is never going to be any consequences for anyone ever no matter what they do.

@@emberdt7998 Internal affairs have still been wasting their time, their higher-ups made it clear that no matter what they find and what they can prove, nothing will happen and nothing will come out of it because certain cops are untouchable OOC, which is why Byson is quitting his internal affairs job, what's the point of there even being internal affars? Dundee doesn't want to just ocean dump and physically hurt Baas, he wants there to actually be consequences, not just a quick trip to the hospital, that would just be a regular monday for Baas. If he gets taken out on a boat and gets downed, then the rest of the cops gets an officer downed allert, he'll be found and spend like 10 min at the hospital, then back on duty as if nothing happened, doing that has zero impact on him.

It was my understanding that Baas and Andrews went into this OOC with admin permission as a test of PD corruption, and were fully willing to accept any consequences that comes out of it. I distinctly remember Ssaab saying he was willing to perma for this a bit after "Dundee's parents" showed up, but he wanted the process to take a while to unravel so that it could be a really good ending for Baas. Also there's a difference between knowing who the killer is and being able to prove it in court. Proof was exactly what BBMC was struggling with.

What I did see when watching internal affairs streams was a bunch of discouraged people who had been told OOC that their investigation was a waste of time since no matter what they find and no matter how much they can prove, they can't touch Andrews, which is why all of them ended up quitting IE, what's the point of it when certain people are untouchable? Baas is not untouchable, but they had more proof against Andrews than Baas.

People need to learn to perma, the reason the story lines have these weird conclusion's is because people are so invested into their characters not dying (/me still has a pulse after being shot through the brain) or having a character go to jail forever (i.e lifer RP). It's the same as legal RP, literally some of the best content on the server. Yet everyone ends up drunk because it's going to take so long, then there are never lawyers/judges "around" because where is their RP for them without back to back court cases? This is the same reason why IA investigations never go anywhere (no one snitches/no confidential (or paid) informants), which is sad because IA had had some of the top 10 funny moments of this year.

"Here's the thing, with all these fuckin' new terrorist organizations coming out crying about corruption, I'm not going to be like, 'I'm not going to believe anything ever.' We have to take IA complaints," followed up by, "We took [the complaints] with a grain of salt." How can you do an absolutely thorough investigation if you already don't take the complaint seriously. How can you also get all testy about how criminals should not be just dismissed simply because they are criminals, but then follow that up with how you didn't take their accusations seriously because of who they are. By not having Baas placed in an interrogation room...they created a safe space for Baas...like coworkers just having a friendly conversation. They wouldn't have done this with a criminal. They didn't find Baas' over-eagerness to cooperate with them as suspicious (the guilty are often over eager to prove their innocence...criminal psychology 101). They gave Baas details of the case that he should have never been told. All-in-all, this would be a great example for the FBI to use in "what never, ever do" when speaking to someone under the suspicion of attempted murder. It was also the most contradictive RP I have seen to date LOL. They literally RPed to perfection exactly why gangs and even attorneys and judges are forming terrorist groups to collectively burn the city to the ground if they have to just to cleanse local government of corruption.

Sadly, the facts seem to be that this is not going to go anywhere. The server just isn't built in a way to allow for anything like real justice to be done. The fact that IA doesn't really have the inbuilt tools to do the sort of investigation that would be required, the fact that the highest ranking person they have spoken to in the department said that one of the individuals is not going to be punished no matter what is found, that the one higher ranking Trooper is in a position as server owner that he has to factor in the OOC value of having an IRL cop in that position to help define SOPs in a way that approximates real police ... If they manage to take Baas down I will be surprised, but Andrews is going to skate away scott free. It's a shame, and as a viewer it kinda cheapens the Cop side of things for me if they genuinely can behave like the biggest gang in the city and not actually have to behave justly. Corrupt cops need to fear IA, it needs to be a real threat. But this is showing that it's kinda a joke.

Yeah but only Baas and Knight know. Knight didn't see it either. Hawk arrived at the scene and yelled at the civilians there for not recognising someone had died. It was the day bricks became throwable and everyone was throwing them. It was hard to follow up on, and when no leads were found Hawk moved on. Knight wouldn't betray Baas like that, they're very good friends.
