*Edit* check out part 2! kzbin.info/www/bejne/iYnXapeYqa2sbLcsi=5O053CXj_3Q6apxR Repeat after me.... "I will not be intimidated by nodes and noodles!" Let's go on this journey together and by the end of this series you will be much more confident using comfyui. There is a lot to cover but I believe in mastering the basics so that you can really understand how comfyui works and in turn, learn to make your own workflows that suit your needs!
@babutalakАй бұрын
Sir what is the actually use of comfyAI? Like the point of using it?
@MonzonMediaАй бұрын
@@babutalak Customization is a major advantage. Once you get the hang of it, you can customize workflows that best suits your needs. The other major factor is any new developments that come, Comfyui is always the first to support those new developments. Other platforms can take days, weeks and even months before they update their platforms. In some cases those platforms don't update to the latest. Also for people with lower end GPU's 6-12GB Comfyui is optimized very well so that users with lower end GPU's can run certain models that would normally require lots of VRAM.

You are right, starting with the basics helps, but there is no written manual to comfy UI (as far as I found). After trying Comfy UI for about , I see your tips helping to work much easier. Thanks for providing such good tutorial. 👍

There are written docs on comfyui but they are very vague and don't explain things in depth unfortunately. One of the main reasons why I wanted to do this series. Thanks for checking it out. I have more to edit and post soon!

Awesome! Hope you enjoy the series. Yeah there is a lot of old nodes and workflows that are either no longer supported or just not working. I know that the devs of comfyui are planning to streamline things but it's a massive job. They are making steps towards that. I definitely plan to cover exactly that in a future video. The first two in this series are great! Nice, small bits and pieces all explained in your usual patient style! All that said, I still wish Comfy would be a bit more beginner-friendly. Good first video in the series! I like that you explained the header renaming and went into some details on the VAE as well as mentioning how the loader includes the model and VAE which I'd never seen explained before. That gets to be really complex, especially with Flux... is the VAE included? What is fp8? Those things. What would be helpful, to me at least, is a full overview of the nodes. As you were building, you said, "Just add a KSampler." I kind of know what a KSampler is because I've been doing this from the start but there's no way I would have known that I needed a KSampler. It's like we have a jigsaw puzzle with Comfy but all of the pieces are upside down and we still have to fit them together. If we had a roadmap going in then we'll know THAT we need the corner pieces (analogy may have fallen apart here.) I think my request going forward in the series is to not assume that your viewers know... anything. It never hurts to review things for those who have already come across them but don't use them every day so only have a very basic understanding, i.e. your dive into VAEs in this video. Thanks for doing this series. I look forward to future chapters.
@MonzonMediaАй бұрын
Appreciate the great feedback! This is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish with this series and yes I have to go back and remember what it's like to use Comfyui for the first time. While I may not be perfect and miss some things I do spend a lot of time and effort to break things down that is easily understandable. And for the record, although I agree I should've explained what a KSampler is, technically, it's really just a node that holds all those settings so that's why I explained the settings individually, consider it a place holder. But I totally hear ya. 👍

Great, dear Monzon, thank you very much. I've been waiting for a long time for your take on ComfyUI tutorials. You are a very special teacher. Hey, does anyone know how to easily save the images in a different root directory than the one where ComfyUI is installed? I mean, my ComfyUI is on E:, and I want to save the output images on D:. Love!
@MonzonMediaАй бұрын
You're welcome and thanks for checking it out and the kind words! 😊 As for the output folder, to be honest I haven't bothered because I do like keeping all the images I generate in the platforms native folder, just easier for me. However you can try these methods but I haven't tried it myself. Always back up just in case! comfyui-wiki.com/en/faq/how-to-change-output-folder There are nodes that enable you to do this within a workflow but you have to set that up every time you make a new workflow. It's pretty simple to do though.

I'm interested in tips on how to create images in a controlled manner. Different subjects on the same background, the same character in different poses, character creation (LoRA), creating poses. How to keep the image properties the same, lighting or camera angle. Currently, every image is similar using the same prompt but still completely different in every detail.

Character consistency is still an issue but there are many workarounds. Will definitely consider some videos on these topics. 👍

As it appears in the node options for Latent endpoint, why should a Ksampler connected to another ksampler? What are the possible scenarios and use cases?
@MonzonMedia3 күн бұрын
It's not common really, it's more likely to have 2 KSamplers as part of the workflow for like a refiner or upscaler for example. But I've seen people use 2 KSamplers back to back mostly to use one sampler, then another right after to get different details. Or it's some sort of custom workflow where they would need 2 passes through the sampler.
@JacekPilarskiАй бұрын
Hi, any idea why I don't see a "marching ants" anymore while selecting multiple nodes with ctrl pushed? Trying to figure out if some of the custom nodes does that :/
@MonzonMediaАй бұрын
To be honest, I'm not sure and never really noticed that even in previous versions. Perhaps it was an extension? I've always just recognized the highlight around the node which was always solid. Unless my memory deceives me.

First I worked on Easy Deffusion, then Fooocus, after the Flux model came out I switched to Forge, and after Flux Tools came out I started a gradual transition to Comfy. Not an easy thing to do, but I'm trying))) It would be nice if the developers would optimize it better, because on my 2070(8Gb) video card, it is very hard to work....
@MonzonMediaАй бұрын
On one hand it's great to try out different platforms to see what suits you, the problem is with many of them, they are developed by open source volunteers so eventually they no longer support them or develop them further. I've said before that I have a love/hate relationship with comfyui 😄 but for what I do, it's important for me to keep up. I agree about optimization however I think for 8GB VRAM there really is only so much they can optimize it. I have a 3060Ti 8GB VRAM so I know what you mean! SDXL runs very well on it but Flux can struggle. I do have workflows that are optimized for low VRAM use. I'll definitely make a video soon and share it with you all.

@@MonzonMedia I created a new Christmas Lora the other day and I'm making demo images for it on Comfy, using the basic flux1-dev(23Gb) model in conjunction with the accelerating Lora - FLUX.1TurboAlpha. The results are pretty good with only 8 steps and not bad speed. But since I don't know Comfy well yet, it's likely that something even better can be done in the workflows. For example, I have Flux Outpainting working quite well, to which I also screwed Florence 2, but Inpainting doesn't work at all, hangs and doesn't move. After the New Year I will deal with all the necessary processes.... Thank you for your work and sincere congratulations on the New Year! P.S. Speaking of “Prompt Crafting Tips”, I've seen an interesting node for improving prompts by adding cameras, lights, color palettes and environments. You have to adjust the strength of the controlnet or the end percentage of the generation.

Hi, do you know if it is possible to use Flux as the refiner of SD1.5 in ComfyUI? Any workflow to do that?
@MonzonMediaАй бұрын
Why would you use it as a refiner? Why wouldn't you just use img2img or controlnet? There would be no benefits to using Flux as a refiner? Theoretically it can be done but not in the same way as the SDXL refiner method.

I use nodes in Resolve Fusion and while they can be a bit daunting at first, once it clicks they become so much more powerful than layers or simple selection boxes.
