A short tip to get better results: kzbin.info5qix4piBRiY. The comment on 25:10 Should popup at 29:10. So note, when using a video reference, make sure the "animate_without_vid" is set to "off" ;)

I've noticed that this model skews the face in very unnatural looking way when head is rotated, otherwise the quality is quite good.

Yes, It should as long as the facial features are clear. It can also work on non human figures when it comes to rotations of the head.

You can play with masking and have a better control on the composition of the face after the animation.

You can use the face index to select the face you want to swap (0 is all)

That's a good Idea, I have some videos on the backlog, and I will add this one. I do have a general video about ControlNet usage though that you can implement on this workflow as well.
