I like Aaron's writing....his Southern Bastards series is one of my faves.I read a lot of comics. Preacher was so good. That was when Vertigo had so many different good runs, such as Y the Last Man, and Transmetropolitan, etc.

I have just gotten into comic book collecting and reading (the paperbacks, not the individuals) and I must say there were some great suggestions among those books you hauled. You are very much like me in how I like to collect by the bulk, even if I have yet to read the series. Batman Knightfall looks appealing, while I will probably seek interest in Thor. I picked up the first paperback in the Female Thor collection and will be interested in reading it. I read horror fiction, so your selections were not too dark for me. I will have to keep these selections in mind, though they seem to lean toward the fantasy/paranormal end, which I do not read as much. Thank you for sharing! -Josh

I would recommend getting a Marvel Unlimited account as you have access to a large part of the Marvel Universe for about 8 dollars per month or 5 dollars per month if you pay 60 dollars for the year up front. It really helps you dive into the universe without buying so many trades/hardcovers. Especially with some things that are out-of-print, it will help you read everything and see if you want to buy the collected versions. Especially with Hickman's stuff (which spans almost a decade of stories), you can read through everything and then actually buy want you want to have. Y: The Last Man is a great read! It's a good discussion of different types of feminism as well as a fun sci-fi adventure. If you like Allred's art, Doctor Who-y, Dr. Suess-y like things, you should definitely check out the recent volumes of The Silver Surfer.

I keep putting Through the Woods in my cart but I never commit, I may need to reevaluate lol. Ahhhh East if West, I was thinking about posting a review of that series, I bought the huge hardcover ages ago and I don't hear many ppl talking about it.
