I personally feel like he's just really protective over malec and all the hard work and passion he and Harry put into it. In my eyes he's simply a Malec, Magnus and Alec stan who loves these characters and their relationship a lot

Jacky J I actually agree, hence "half of the time". He is really protective over Alec and Malec and judging by his interviews he loves to play his character. In this video when he called Harry out on making fun of Malec, it really seemed like a caricature of angry Malec fans but then he seemed truly offended by the "mistrust" comment. That is why I say half of the time, I do believe he is serious about Malec but he is being sarcastic sometimes.

I cannot get over the fact that Magnus is played by Harry but I don't see Magnus when I look at him. His voice is so much more velvety in the show and his body language is just like entirely different. It is really like they are 2 different persons. Love Matt and Harry. I love how they love Malec. Harry does have a point though. Alec made some bad missteps this season. He is learning, but not knowing it was him not Valentine. Alec still asking for the damn hair. Magnus and Alec had a beautiful step forward in 2x15, but Magnus puts a lot on the line as the High Warlock of Brooklyn vouching for the Institute changing then to feel like Alec is keeping info from him. It's rough.
