Magic Books even if they are booked for other shows, their characters still exist in the main timeline. it just wouldn’t make sense because of everything that happened in the originals, klaus and hayley literally died for hope and this was a set up for legacies. even caroline and maybe alaric would question why klaus died. and knowing freya, kol, rebecca, davina and marcel, they would want answers. it would be lazy writing if they didn’t at least talk about it

Alaric seems like the kind of guy who doesn't like to do much, doesn't like to say much, doesn't want to be there and answer the same question over and over again. Cracks up sarcastic jokes that seem like he lowkey means what he says. Makes it look like he needs a job and he only does it for the money. I've watched several of these interviews and he has the same attitude. On the other hand I don't blame him. He has done this for years.
