I almost passed Alex + Ada up just because I thought the art very simplistic. Even so, I gave it a try and now it has become one of my favourites books. Even the art has turned into a pleasant element of the story itself. The Ultimate Collection It is Indeed a wonderful acquisition. Another great video (what a massive comic haul!!!). Hope you enjoy them all, and do not forget to share your thoughts about them, please.

Thanks for another good video. I picked up Black Science after watching a previous video of yours, really liking it so far. I slowed down on reading Invincible...because it is such a great comic...part of me wishes it will never end, the other part of me is very intrigued to see how Kirkman finishes it. Look forward to the next video!

You put perfect words to describe the artwork of Alex+Ada graphic novel. I´ve got the final volume of Chew but I haven´t brought myself to read any of the new books yet, even SAGA! Like you, I am looking forward to read to much stuff so I´m just stuck instead haha

Hahahaha, I love your honest reaction to Alex + Ada's artwork! I totally feel you, I've heard really great reviews about the graphic novel, but was totally put off by the artwork. Generally, if I don't really like the artwork in a comic, it usually takes me out of the experience of reading it, no matter how good the storyline is. :/ I like This One Summer. I like the artwork but the story was a bit too short for me, Chew looks really great, I might pick it up myself too! And I love the Rumble series as well! But ayyyy, good choices!

Spoiler alert, I actually loved Alex + Ada, the story makes up for the art =) and I sort of got used to it ^^ Hmm ok, too bad, maybe I won't get as disappointed now that I know though... You def should! Chew is awesome! Thanks for watching =)

Great haul, so many great reads! Looking forward to knowing your thoughts on all of those. I hope you enjoy Deadly Class more this time. Personally I think it's up there with Saga, etc. for the best series going on at the moment. I understand your opinion towards Alex+Ada's art though in my opinion that "boring" style was intentional to match the pace and meaning of the story, including the colour patterns - I think you'll get why when you finish reading it :) Have fun!

Wow that looks like an expensive book haul. I know those hardcovers aren't cheap lol. I've only read the first trade of each, but I actually preferred Deadly Class to Black Science. Fight Club 2 looks really cool, I'll have to check that one out.

I've been meaning to check out This One Summer since forever just because it looks gorgeous on the shelf, but the synopsis doesn't sound too intriguing. Like maybe it'll be over and 15 minutes, I won't think about it ever again, and it won't be worth the money. I might be totally off though, so let us know what you think :)

that Fear Agent Rick Remender is a great story and art work I have the same one in my library took a minute to read but we'll worth it.. Chew Vol. 6 released two weeks ago I picked up Vol. 1-5 at a great price watching your reviews made me pick it up ..lol always nice to see what's out there in your vids..

I love the Invincible series. Robert Kirkman is an amazing writer. Have you read the Empowered series? A friend recommended it to me after I told her about how much I loved the Invincible series, and whatdya know, she was right, I immensely enjoyed it. Although it's not too much alike to Invincible. Empowered is a black and white comic drawn in almost manga style, but it's by an American artist and writer (same person), and is about this girl dealing with body image issues because her supersuit is like this sticky membrane that shows too much of her body but she can't change it cause without it she would be powerless, but all her teammates make fun of her, and call her a names, and it's even more than that, but it's such a hard comic to explain. It just has SO much heart. I think it's something you would be into :-).

Empowered is THE COOLEST. I love Emp so much. She is my favorite superheroe right behind Batman. She just has SO much heart. I try and re-read a bit of Empowered whenever I'm a bit sad. Never fails to cheer me up.

Empowered is hands down the funniest comic I ever read. And yeah, the manga art filtered through an American artist really does something wonderful to the art. And it's even more appreciable when the artist and writer are the same person; and even better when said person, Adam Warren, is a fucking certified genius. Gods, I'm thankful I can say that I share this admittedly poopy planet with that man.

+Schitzo-Cookie it's all good. And yeah, with most art I'd 100% agree with you, but in particular with Adam's, if you get the chance, you'll see that his art is somehow actually better as is. His art is actually not even black and white art, innately, because it'll all done in pencils. Like, no color is put in it, and when it is, the life from his art really does drain. It's quite weird. Any who, thank you very much for responding. I can't wait for your next video. You always make such delightful, delightful videos.

I couldn't subscribe fast enough, hehe. This is the kind of channel I've wanted to exist since I started reading comics 3 years ago, but never knew it already existed, until just now. Sad face palm. But no, seriously, this was an absolutely incredible video. I really enjoyed, appreciated, and found myself nodding solemnly in agreement at your choice of comics. Lastly, I was just wondering (sry if you've already reviewed this in a previous video) if you'd read Flex Mentallo by Grant Morrison? It's my second favorite comic book of all time right behind Watchmen, and I just thought you'd really enjoy it (if you hadn't read it already, I mean, heh). Apologies that this was an insanely too long a comment, by the way. Uhm, yeah, and really entertaining video one again. I really loved it.

I actually like Deadly Class and Low a lot more than Black Science. Maybe it's just me, but I had a hard time getting into the first volume of Black Science. I tried the second volume and just came away with even more questions and almost no answers.

Pink hair is usually coloured with semi-permanent or non-permanent dye, which makes it fade quite fast. That's why the hair sometimes looks blonde when it hasn't been dyed recently. My pink lasts for 3-5 washes before it's completely gone from my ends and I have to apply again. The constant dyeing doesn't damage the hair though since the dye is non-permanent and just sits on top of the hair. :p
