when my expectations don't match a story... and that happens a lot... it's often very rewarding to read the book a second time, because the chances are much higher that I can like the book now for what it's actually is.

If I can remember you and me need to discuss the Y the last man ending when I get to Stockholm haha! I can´t recall Jim Gordon knowing that his daughter was Batgirl and vise versa when Jim was Batman. It made for an interting team up having to characters interact with eachother without them knowing how close they truly are to eachother. Great reviews :)

Sockerärter actually takes place in the future. If you notice the Battle robots in the war scenes in the beginning of the book and look at the year on the grave Andrej visits a few pages later which has the year 2040 written on it. The notes in the end of the book shows more of this.

Great video as always! A friend and I do themed vinyl (plus an extra) packages a handful of times a year so I think I'll include Harrow County or Through The Woods as part of her Halloween themed one this month. Look good. I'm in Stockholm at the moment and stumbled into the Science Fiction Bokhandeln place. What a great place! Have you been? Saw lots of pretty books on the 'Cobolt' (?) print which made me wish I could read the Swedish!

Great video again! I really enjoyed Y: The Last Man, I also liked the ending, but it's all subjective. BKV is one of my favourite writers. Looks like I have a few more books to put on my list after your video :)

Another great review! y the last man @ fables were great reads, when I was picking up those issues. Do you know that invincible is going to end next year with issue 142 @ when heard it was going to end, I was so sad :( I love that book so much. Have you heard of Ladykiller is about a female assassin. it's a really good read. the second volume just started from dark horse. looking forward your to October haul @ maybe some Halloween goodies.=)

yeah I've heard that :( but I am glad if they end it in a good way and don't let it drag out tooo long so that it looses its quality. I have had Ladykiller on my TBR for so long, definitely want to read it soon!

I didn't like the ending of the Y the last man too the series was cool but the ending got me like "that's it ? it can't just end like this :/"

I still have to start reading Y, but with so many titles, it's hard to have time to try to catch up. I love the 1st Batgirl tpb too, and, for me, the 2nd and 3rd one weren't that good. To be honest, the 3rd one I finished just to finish the whole series =/

I also read y the last man this month. The last two issues made me cry. I agree the series was awesome but the ending wasn't the best. However I don't know how I would have ended it.

Yeah that's the problem. Maybe the ending, even though it was really sad was quite good. Don't know how it should/could have ended better... hmm

Schitzo-Cookie was a blind buy for me. but its 1950s sci fi so maybe not your thing. about to start deadly class which i hear is great. severed is a great snyder book if you havnt read it.
