Actually, this font is the best font for English learners. It is exactly how they are supposed to learn to print and then write the letters. I can’t tell you how much use I made of it in the classroom.

It was actually designed and used to help people with dyslexia. Serif fonts are easier to read for most people as the extra details help your brain like anchor points, but for people struggling with dyslexia it's an overload of information that confuses the brain. Comic sans manages to get enough details by having slightly wiggly lines while retaining simple shapes. So if you don't have a diagnosis for dyslexia I'd suggest getting it checked.
