@@guarazu.comics even though Stan Lee was mainly known for his superhero comics work for Marvel he was recognized by and large as an embassador for comics. Not just in America. Do other countries have their own comics embassador? Of course. But Stan Lee was synonymous for comics. Todd is the same way.

I also saved my allowance, cashed in bottles,raked leaves,just anything to save enough to go and visit what was then a second hand store, and go through the comics to build up my collection. I'm now 65 and am taking my Grandson on the tour of comic and pokemon cards . He hopefully do the same with his children. 😊😊

Everything he said makes sense. The idea of having so many comics that there is no choice but to be noticed is a concept I never thought about. I've mostly been a quality over quantity person. Now I can see the other side of the coin. Make a comic that people can really invest in. Not just 1 or 3 volumes, then they are done. Something you can fill an entire bookshelf with. As someone who has put effort into collecting volumes of Usagi Yojimbo, I can appreciate that sentiment

A movie or a TV show would be nice... its been almost 30 years. The walking dead, Invincible, and TONS of other shows have been made from comics from the early 2000s, we even have X-men 97 back... its such a weird franchise that Spawn is SO popular yet there hasnt been ANY activity for Spawn outside of comics, comic spin-offs and action figures. I dont understand what the goal is when people keep asking for a TV show or a movie and all we get is "yeah soon, eventually, one day, working on it"

Bought my first comics this week in about 20 years. I paid my $4.99 for Usagi Yojimbo because I love Stan’s work and his character, and I bought a couple marvel books, but I noticed the $2.99 price tag on the Spawn stuff and bought a sack of spawn and gunslinger. Enjoyed gunslinger so much I went back the next day and bought the other two Spawn books.

It's more about the hype Todd. Sometimes the hype is not the same from the original creator or (sponsor man) compared to a fan or an content creator that you know and trust and it's not just about selling . So when they get hyped and convey this to us fans that's what's great about it . So yeah Instagram might work and all but comic con both has its own special thing.

If TODD MCFARLANE was smart, he should consider bringing TWO of the MOST successful COMIC BOOK FRANCHISE to the BIG SCREEN to face off with each other. They did it in the comics. Why not do it on the BIG SCREEN. Yes, I'm talking about a LIVE ACTION BATMAN vs SPAWN movie. SPAWN fits perfectly in BATMAN'S UNIVERSE. I could see JASON WYNN become the NEW CRIME BOSS in GOTHAM taking on the PENGUIN. I could see the highly trained assassin CHAPEL taking on DEATHSTROKE. Just like GODZILLA vs KONG. This could be the HIGHEST GROSSING cross over movie in history !!!

Todd was great at running the Spawn brand in the 90s, but his comic universe has gotten so awful. He turned Spawn into a copy of DC and Marvel. I've read the current issues of all the Spawn comics and they are boring and a far cry from what the comics used to be. I think Todd should just stick with Marketing his brand and hire some better creatives to make Spawn what it was supposed to be, dark. Not a colorful boring standard superhero comic.

Sad part of the spawn comics is the lack of reason. 44 issues of spawn, 20ish of king, scorched, gunslinger and so on... Sorry really hasn't done anything progressive. Just a boatload of new background characters with little to no back story... Just to be killed off. All the old players come back only to be shelved again. Multiple action figures that no fan actually wants as well. Over done, over priced and under thought. Just my opinion but spawn could be so much more if it wasn't spread so damn thin.
