The Xmen started out, in the comics, as a team. Teenagers gathered together by Professor Xavier, into his first class of mutants. Thats how it should be. Not individual costumed mutants brought together, but a class assembled.

That’s very true but all or most of their origin stories have been fleshed out a great deal. You must get to the know the characters first to see where they go and how they end up with Xavier and how it goes from there.

The X-Men had their biggest readership with the launch of X-Men #1 in the 90s and new readers went straight in to seeing Cyclops, Psylocke, Wolverine, Gambit, Rogue, Beast, and Jubilee as a team right from the start. Nobody needed to get to know Cyclops fell from a plane and had a head injury that affected his control of his powers to get straight into X-Men. Heck, I'd argue that Danger Room sequence from X-Men #1 makes a perfect opening sequence for a film (complete with *Snikt* "Bang, Chuck. You're dead."). The X-Men animated series didn't need to methodically give each X-Man solo episodes before we had a team episode. These stories would also be terribly boring since most of the students are recruited by Xavier shortly after their powers first presented. It could easily be handled through brief dialogue or a flashback where necessary. Rather than needing 5 solo films just to get the first team of X-Men and then a decade of solo films before we ever get an extended team, they could easily take a page from the height of the most popular era of X-Men in the title's entire history and just dive in with dual titles of X-Men and Uncanny X-Men, featuring Blue Team & Gold Team.

Wolverines first appearance was fighting Hulk and Wendigo and that was long before he joined X-men. Same thing with Gambit; he grew up in the Thieves Guild and was well into his 20s before he joined. Only the first team and a handful of characters before Cassandra Nova let the world know that the X-men were based in Xaviers mansion, were actually still teenagers and started out their hero career in the X-men team.

Yes! For as many missteps as phase 4 has had, they've also made some great choices and introductions, especially with Moon Knight and Shang Chi. Both Ms. Marvel and Kate Bishop as Hawkeye are awesome, and Monica Rambeau needs to be better developed as her own character because she's actually quite loved in the comics and the actress is solid.

I know a lot of people want an avengers vs xmen film in this universe, but I really think it would be better to have a proper movie after the reboot. It could be the first major conflict movie after setting up the teams. My question is.. how the hell are they gonna handle unfinished stories? Is the new cap gonna get one film then be instantly replaced? How will any of Spiderman 5 or 6 make sense when the first 3-4 of his films aren't canon anymore or exist in altered canon. It feels like it would be easier to complete 100% slate reset. re-boot is the only way they can go forward. just as in the comics it needs to be re-written once and awhile

yeah, its the simplest way to actually bring 616 to the big screen. No matter how much feige trys to say mcu is 616, it doesnt work because there have been 0 mutants, no fantastic 4 etc

I agree, maybe a bit more emphasis on the X-Men after Secret Wars. Soft rebooting the Avengers still feels too soon, in regards to a new Iron Man, Steve Rodgers Cap, Black Widow, etc. But everything else is a gold imo

Yeah I highly doubt that they’ll do that, the most concerning a reboot we’ll see would be a soft-reboot, if even that. They’ll probably just use Secret Wars to clean up a bit of continuity and maybe bring back and/or recast some characters and maybe even bring in the X-Men from their universe but overall it’ll be the same universe.

Rebooting the MCU ruins the experience for me. Key figures like Iron Man, Steve Rogers, and Thor became popular through great movies, but no bigger audience knew who they were before the films. Similarly, new characters can be introduced. Don't dwell on the past; there are many interesting Marvel characters. It's all about making good films out of them.

Nah I think they'd do foir Avnegers movies in the span of an year and a half. That would be too much money to spend and would need a lot of actors to coordiante and cancel kther projects. I think the second part would be Battleworld and the movie in between would be a solo.

I think, they need to push KANG before DOOM and Secret Wars with 2 parts in between. Avengers: The Kang Dynasty Secret Wars: Part 1 Doctor Strange 3 Secret Wars: Part 2 Avengers: Doom's Day each of them must be connected through post-credit scenes

I think it's more like there are currently 2 Logans at the same time. In the beginning of the movie, he went to the future where Logan takes place. At the end he goes back to the present day.

I can only imagine how the MCU could've been if they had all the rights for all the characters from the beginning i cant wait for Secret Wars its gonna be an emotional send but it will be nice when they reboot and they have access to everyone from the beginning lot of potential in the future for the MCU

I don’t think there should be a reboot. Ever since secret wars everyone was saying it’s gonna be a soft reboot for the mcu. This isn’t like the dcu, there’s no need to to have a full reboot. It’s not even a soft reboot. The multiverse is resolved and everyone lives in one universe: avengers, X-men, f4. No need to recast characters who have already appeared in the mcu. No new Tony stark Ironman, no new Steve rogers cap.
