15 Strange Rules Every Fusion Character Must Follow In Dragon Ball

Fusion is an awesome concept in Dragon Ball and, without it, we wouldn’t have some of the coolest characters in the franchise. Seriously, Gogeta, Vegito and Gotenks are amongst some of the most awesome warriors in Dragon Ball. They also happen to follow a weirdly specific set of rules, as do all the other Saiyans in the series. From the Fusion Dance to Potara Fusions and even Namekian Fusions, the characters that result from two other characters fusing tend to follow a specific set of rules.
Vegito and Gogeta might be different kinds of fusions, but Goku and Vegeta’s two different combined warriors both tend to follow some generic rules as well as some rules in their own categories. For example, all fusion dance fusions tend to go wrong twice before the fusees get it right and form a successful warrior. Additionally, Fusion Dance fusions always wear the same kinds of clothes while Potara fusions have clothes that are a combination of the two fusees. There are other, more obvious rules like all fusions have appearances that combine the two warriors’ looks into one and both main kinds of fusions have time limits.
No matter how you look at it, and no matter what kind of fusions you’re looking at, fusion characters follow some specific sets of rules and, in this video, we take a look at some of the different rules that bind fusion warriors together. I think Fusion dance is physically stronger, but major drawback is the time. You got to finish it quick. Potara defintely is the go to imho when it's a really hard person you got to outlast with stamina.

@@VengefulMaverick But in the potara fusion if you use to much power you defuse, in the fusion dance you stay fused for 30 mins no matter what (Except with forced spirit fission) example: in the Zamasu saga Vegito defused after 5 mins beacuse the ssb, but in the Broly movie Gogeta stayed ssb even after the fight and the fight was longer than 5 and there was a really big Kamehameha at the end.

When they were talking about fusions being cut short by too much power output, they forgot one instance of this. It’s non-canon, but in DBGT, Goku and Vegeta fused into Gogeta when they were Super Saiyan 4’s. Their fusion ended in about 15 minutes rather than 30 like normal. It was because they were Super Saiyan 4’s, so they lost energy way quicker.

Vegito takes Goku’s Gi as base appearance with colour of Vegeta’s tights and taking Vegeta’s gloves and boots, that is why Vegito in Dragon Ball Super remained the same, the same applied in Dragon Ball Heroes anime even when Wear armour it took Goku gi as the basis of appearance while mixing colour with vegeta’s clothes.

since gotenks and gogeta would have to fuse to become each other before fusing to become the fusion of the fusions, that means the regular two fusions would have less time than the two fusions together. therefore, when the original fusions' time runs out, they would have to separate, but they are in the second fusion, not letting them go. so even if it did work, when the fusions' time runs out, their bodies would literally be ripping itself apart, probably killing them. pretty brutal.

I think that the reason why behind fusions 0 wins is really simple. Just because 2 very powerful warriors merge into an even stronger one with their power levels multiplied it is simply too much to handle or an easy victory. So plot is against them to make it more interesting. Otherwise fusions would just destroy villains during their first encounter and we wouldn't get to see all the fights.

While I do believe that both minds of the fused characters are definitely combined, I believe there may be a dominant personality. Take Gotenks for example. He is definitely cocky and arrogant, and ready to showboat. Now I've never seen Goten act that way, he's mild-mannered and respectful, but Trunks on the other hand is for sure a show-boater. And if you listen real good, you hear more of Trunks in Gotenks voice than you do Goten. Like a 75/25 ratio.

Two major problems. 1. The Buu Saga is one of the BEST parts of Dragonball, along side the Cell Saga, and many others. 2. You messed up the time of the two fusions. The Potaras are the ones who are permanent with Supreme Kais but lasts an hour on mortals, while Fusion Dance lasts 30 minutes.
