Based on the fact that Barry and Iris go on vacations to exotic locations at least once or twice a year they have to have some kind of inexhaustible income. Iris has the Citizen and Barry has the money pile that is star labs. I would think that Star labs would still have other private contracts as well. It’s not like there is a new danger every day so they probably still invent stuff just at a lower rate

Aside from the assets thing (which makes a lot of sense now that I think about it) There would be the question of powering up the damn thing, perhaps the team turned Barry into some sort of power generator, I mean, the guy can throw lightning whenever he wants and, knowing Cisco, he could have very well created a sort of giant battery which Barry recharges with Lightnings every now and then. As for Cisco’s and Caitlin’s income: Cisco has created (and I would presume, patented) a shit ton of stuff like the grapple thing we saw in season 2 or the anti-meta-powers thingy we see in Iron Heights, plus he was the meta consultant for CCPD (he seemed to love the badge) so he’s set. Caitlin is a Doctor so she may have some form of income in medical centers or something. Iris was a journalist, although I am wondering how (and IF) she is making money now, being a blogger and all.
