DK II & III and All-Star does count even if we want it or not, but Frank's work on Daredevil is far superior to his Batman. Dc hired Frank to write DK because of his work on Daredevil.

In fairness, while it's in the regular run of Daredevil, Miller came back special for the story. He finished his entire 32ish issues. Denny O'Neil took over as a writer. Then, after that, he came back and wrote Born Again. It works well as a standalone story.

I think Born Again is totally the main arc for Daredevil season 3! If not in season 3 it will definitely come eventually before the series is over. Its a seminal Daredevil story. I bet they start the season with the Mother Maggie reveal as he recovers from "dying" in Defenders. I also cant wait to see what they do with Karen, I bet all the heroin/porn stuff has already happened in her already alluded to past.

I know in the 90's Spider-man, Kingpin says he only has 2% body fat, and that is entirely muscle, so I tend to assume that's just how he is, but I don't know.

Born Again is by far the best Marvel comic I’ve ever read, and even exceeds The Dark Knight Returns, because of the amount of realism, spiritual symbolism, and the amount of humanity this story delivers. It’s also a redemption story for Matt and Karen, while the Kingpin begins to lose his empire. Beautiful artwork, and narrative by Miller and Mazzucali.

Only thing that I never felt followed logic in this story was Karen selling Matt’s secret for a quick high. I know it’s the crux of the story, but with her being willing to sell her body at some point in the story, it would’ve been a more logical leap for her to do that in the first place in lieu of selling DD’s identity. That hole could’ve been avoided had they made something more tragic happen to her, ultimately making prostitution not a viable option at that time. That way her back is more against the wall, with no options, and withdrawal pain, and anxiety. But anyway, that was always a hang up for me, but in no way changes the fact that the story is fantastic regardless.

I GUARANTEE daredevil season 3 will be almost exactly the same as this, it just fits in so fucking well, they've already established nuke, at the end of defenders daredevil is being nursed back to health by (presumably) his mother, the pieces are just so well placed... not doing this storyline for season 3 would straight up be stupid, they could also make it so that the evil daredevil is bullseye, and he appears for the first time as bullseye in daredevil season 4 for the grand finale(btw this daredevil is wearing a black version of his red suit just cus) where bullseye kills Elektra and daredevil in the end just quits or whatever.

I'd put Daredevil 181 right up there with the Born Again Saga as some of the greatest superhero comics ever. Frank Miller's first run 168-181 (158-167 he did the Art but didn't write) was one of the greatest runs in comics history, and then he topped it with the Born Again Saga. He topped his first run except for the last issue 181. That is as amazing as the Born Again Saga. The graphic novel starts with issue 227, but I would consider 226 as the prequel to the Born Again Saga. It is as good as the Dark Knight Returns.
