I don't know whether to applaud or chide the lack of some obvious "joke" #1 villains that would have taken all of 20 seconds to include. 1) Fox 2) Marvel Executives 3) Dark [insert popular X-men creative team] Hopefully numbers one and two need no explanation, but number three centers on how a lot of the worst moments in the X-Men can come from some of its best writers, editors, etc.

daniel niemeyer Doesn't change what I said. For starters it wasn't just about the films, but the overall handling of the franchise in general. Still if you want to focus on the movies, the writing has been on the wall for Fox for *years*. They know they've been having a hard time making things work and that it would be so much more effective to come to an agreement with Marvel on buying back the rights. Of course the same could be said of Marvel execs; for all I know Marvel is demanding Fox accept to little. ;)
