Nope. This idea that Dr Manhattan is all powerful and undefeatable is a conceit and shortsightedness of the DC writers and creator Alan Moore in their narrative portrayal of Dr Manhattan. The reason so many people buy into this is that humans tend to think small or are not well versed in physics. Our cultural idea of gods are confined to our planetary scale and temporal scale and Manhattan is a small "g" god. Clearly Alan Moore created Dr Manhattan after reading or being inspired by reading Flatland A romance of many dimensions. Read it and then come back and you'll see that Dr Manhattan is just the 4th dimensional equivalent of the 3rd dimension visitor to flatland. Hit him with something time related that would stop time and he's done, and All his higher dimensional power would fall apart. Hitting him with a black hole of any size for example would end him as it is a point of null time. The overall effect would be the same as dropping a normal person into an infinitely deep pit. He would simply drop out of space/time and thus be unable to effect anything outside of that null point. He's even said before that he's constrained by the narrative of his existence in time and that indicates his vulnerability to temporal physics related to spacetime . Another option is that he encounters a creature that is a 5th or higher dimensional entity and it deals with him in the same manner that he can deal with a three dimensional object. He can use his 4th dimensional derived powers to eradicate things by inverting them or disassembling them, a 5th dimensional being can do even more impossible things than he can and could therefore invert or turn him inside out in ways that we can't even comprehend. So to say he cannot be ended without his consent would be like saying "a man cannot die without his own consent", it's just obviously not correct.

He still operates as a 3rd dimensional being only aware of events as they transpired (hence why Ozymandeus's trick worked on him) if he were fully 4th dimensionally aware he'd be able to relate all events at the same time. In short he couldn't be tricked. A fully 4th 5th or higher dimensional being would be aware of all possible 4th dimensional outcomes from all possible positions and super positions on the timeline. He never made the full leap and thus is completely vulnerable to being eradicated by such a higher being.think of it like this. Imagine a flatlanders a 2 dimensional being. We as 3 dimensional beings could lift one of them up into the dimension of height and drop them or fold them up or crumple them like paper. A 4th dimensional being could literally turn you inside out without killing you in any likelyhood if it felt like it. Now Just try to imagine what a 5th or higher dimensional creature could do. It could fold reality around you so that you literally dont exist, never existed, or could never exist. And that's just for starters. And the worst part is that noone would even know or remember you might have existed, because you wouldn't have. The problem is comic book writers tend not to be all that well versed in multi dimensional theory. The might have heard of Flatland, but likely never read about it or considered the implications. As to dr Manhattan, well if he encountered a higher dimensional being He'd not be in a position to even do anything to stop it.

@@valdemircjr tachyons have already been established to be capable of blocking Dr. Manhattan's ability to see the future, and DM is a human too, though his powers and condition (primarily how he experiences time, as that seems to be a major reason why he acts the way he does) prevents him from really seeing that a lot of the time. Its possible to trick him, though difficult. What is not possible for most is defeating him. He's meant to be OP, even amongst other superheroes. I dont think he was made excessively OP, and in fact I feel like it was in line with his powers. For example, hes a reality manipulator via manipulating fundamental particles and forces of the universe, so if he were to encounter individuals manipulating reality by wielding specific fundamental forces of their universe, presumably DM could learn to utelize these forces as well.

They literally transformed magic into a physical world thing so he can manipulate it. In almost all comics magic is completely outside the physical world so Manhattan controling magic was bullshit. Magic is in the marvel comic universe based on tapping energy out of other dimensions. You could use that to depower him to a dead human being by getting your magical energy from the energy he keeps in the other dimension through which he makes it impossible to kill him, after which he will be nothing more than a shattred mind in multiple bodies, which you will have to hunt down and kill after you depowered him in the other dimensions. He seems very restricted to the flow of time, so a time traveler as the Flash disguised by a cloud of tachyons or diguised by his own ftl/time travel could probably kill him before he becomes doctor Manhattan.

Remember when Ozymandias blocked Manhattan's future knowledge? Use that so that he doesn't know you're coming. Then go back in time to before he was created, and either kill Jon Ostermann, or destroy the reactor. Yeah, we've seen him go to the past and change that himself (and he still existed despite the paradox) but perhaps if he's not there to witness the change, he gets erased along with everything else in his timeline. Also, Lucifer Morningstar could probably take him down. The former right hand of God, and a being that created almost as much of the universe as God Himself. Sure, their battle would probably leave the entire multiverse devastated from them throwing entire galaxies at each other, but he could do it.

Future events, meaning the act of going into the past is an event that happens later on, but not necessarily in the same time period as Dr. Manhattan. He wouldn't know that you're going into the past, so he'd have no reason to "protect" himself by being there when you show up, seeing into the future doesn't necessarily restrict you that way. And by that notion, in the past, he wouldn't have existed yet (his post-powers self), and the experiment never happened so his influence wouldn't spread there. He wouldn't be able to stop himself from being wiped from existence as he never stepped inside the reactor to begin with.

That name caused him to pause, but it wasn't until Lois came and explained that it was Clark's mother that he actually changed his purpose and chose not to kill him. It's because Bruce had an epiphany in that moment that his drive to protect could have been founded on a false premises his entire life; realizing that this alien (Superman) was in fact now more 'human' than he had become, considering Clark's connection to his mother (Martha) and his lover (Lois). It's an analogy about people mindlessly believing in a faith, religion, or ideology simply because it was ingrained in them as a child and it separates them from other people. It shows that with the right situation, circumstance, and/or individuals someone could break free of those delusions and be set free to see the world from a new perspective and realize how on a foundational level we are all connected and just trying to live our lives. But hey, that's just my take... feel free to disagree (as many countless people do.) Also, it's still fun to joke about the 'Martha' thing, because in the wrong situation it's true that moment would be irrelevant and wouldn't do anything, but Batman's supposed to be a detective right? Luthor had been screwing with him the whole movie, and in that moment the realization that Superman wasn't the enemy and that they had been obviously plotted against one another clicked in his mind with that little bit of information about Clark wanting to save his mother.

Well, the Q are more like the Watchers from Marvel; they don't directly interact with the multi-verse. If they did feel inclined, or if the Q we all know and love/hate were to feel inclined, Dr. Manhattan wouldn't stand a chance. Dr. Hatt controls matter and can affect space and time to a degree, even create a universe(probably), but the Q, or Q, just needs to do their thing(like snap his fingers), and Dr. Hatt would be removed from existence. No contest. The Q Continuum is time and space itself, so unless Dr. Hatt can erase himself and the multi-verse, he stands no chance. Remember, Q (all of them), at some point in time, has been/are everything. They have been or possibly are every atom in existence. Even if Dr. Hatt could kill the Q in front of him, Q is still alive within the Continuum. The only weakness any Q has is if the Continuum revokes their powers and lets Q die. Even after this Q dies, if the continuum deem Q necessary, they can always undo everything.

Easily one of the best videos Rob has put out to date. I loved how it kept jumping left and right. Gotta say, although I agree TNG was probably the best Star Trek, my first introduction into the Star Trek Universe was Voyager, and it'll always hold a special place in my heart. Plus, it was pretty good, too, even compared to DS9. Favorite TNG episodes are Future Imperfect and the Inner Light. Memorable things are Q, the Borg, Data Holmes vs. Moriarty A.I., and Wesley meeting the Traveler, and then transcending humans. Great stuff. Voyager also had Q and the Borg, so I honestly didn't think Voyager was bad at all. Lots of memorable plots in Voyager... maybe too many. Couldn't really get into DS9 since the beginning was so boring. That newer one was really, really bad. Enterprise or whatever. More 'soap opera' than Star Trek - like Star Trek and Andromeda had a baby, who inherited the worse of both worlds. High hopes for the new one.

There’s actually a really easy way. If you can recreate the exact same accident on yourself, but with a slightly greater intensity, you would presumably be slightly more powerful than Dr. Manhattan, and thus able to barely overpower him. You could then force his atoms apart, devote most of your powers to keeping his atoms apart, and then go about your life without the use of your powers, because they would be pinned down in an eternal struggle to keep Dr. Manhattan from reforming.

My understanding is that Dr Manhattan is a higher-dimensional being who exists outside of 4-dimensional space time, and that this is where his powers come from. (He can manipulate space time the same way we can manipulate a 2-dimensional drawing.) And if he's more powerful than Mr. Mxyzptlk, Manhattan has to be at least a 5-dimensional being. But a being from an even higher dimension would be to Dr Manhattan as he is to us, and therefore it should be able to kill Manhattan. So, theoretically a magic user who can summon a lovecraftian entity should be able to kill Manhattan. But I doubt that this would be an improvement.

To “Un-Alive” Dr. Manhattan you would have to change him through indirect means. Such as killing his parents before he was conceived or speaking with the engineer that created the intrinsic field chamber and convincing them to place a fail-safe on it before he ever enters it. In either case (or others of a similar nature) his entire timeline would be effected indirectly and he would have no knowledge of it.
