Engineers, builders, space jockeys (the latter will always be my choice because of the dark horse comics runs they had in the very late 80s and early to mid 90s which were NIGHTMARE FUEL! Aside from William Gibson’s alien 3 script, there were at least two others, and there was what you could call and alien 3, following the events of aliens, albeit with newt being Billy and ripley under a name i forgot but hicks I think stayed the same name wise , and the story was absolutely killer! If you want to see how insane the dark horse, now Disney owned stories go; Dr. church. Anything with his character and especially his origin story. I PROMISE it will stay in your brain every time you think of aliens from now on 😂😂😂😂

I don't mind suspending my disbelief for a story like this, but it would have helped immensely if there had been some sort of logical hook that made the xenomorphs a genuine threat. There's just no way they'd wipe out even regular humanity, let alone metahumans. It would have been vastly more sensible for, just as a random example, the calamity to begin with a xeno merging with Venom to create some kind of hybrid ultra-Queen that spawned eggs featuring all of Venom's powers. Then those new xenos march forward to overpower Earth, etc. Regular aliens just aren't in the same league as even mid-tier Marvel heroes and villains.

This is a ridiculous story. The Xenomorphs could kill normal humans, sure. And they could kill some of the more squishy superheroes like Spiderman, Daredevil, Cyclops, etc. But there is absolutely NOTHING they could do against someone even like Luke Cage, let alone someone like Colossus, Hulk, Thing, The Sentry, Thor, She-Hulk, Juggernaut, etc. They just wouldn't stand even the SLIGHTEST chance. Back in the 70's comics were almost part of our daily lives I would sit and read crates and crates of comics and simply be in AWE at the artistry and the storylines which I believe so many young people miss out on using their imagination. The HULK was always a favorite but he has evolved over the years as with so many characters. I HATE when they mutilate an original character by changing gender and personality but I came here to say I'm 55 and I listen to this channel all the time. I ADMIRE this man's dedication and how he dives into the Dc/Marvel worlds. I cannot say that I have ever in this life had such a passion as this man does and I hope that I find it.

I am glad you mentioned said horse earth war. That has been one of my favorite Alien storylines. There has been a theory that when it comes to the Engineers, that there is more than meets the eye (literally). Some fans, myself included, believe their black eyes is due to them having modified and fast forward their evolution to the point of them seeing different dimensions. Marvel Comics at it’s best story telling. Captain America Steve Rogers in gray beard wearing the colors of the American Flag leading the last survivors of humanity while being chased by a horde of Alien xenomorphs. Captain America makes a stand and hurls his shield over and over again against oncoming Aliens. Bruce Banner could escape on rocketship with Tony Stark and decides to leave safety of rocket and turns into the Hulk and jumps down to battle with Captain America. Steve Rogers turns to see the explosion as the Hulk is unleashed and begins tearing apart Aliens. An iconic comic image of Hulk and Captain America making a last stand on Earth fighting for humanity against wave after wave of Alien xenomorphs. I almost teared up seeing my two favorite Marvel Heroes Hulk and Captain America fighting side by side againtst overhwhelming odds against rampaging Alien xenomorphs! A true epic Avengers storyline becoming an instant classic by writer Jonathan Hickman and artist Esad Ribic.

One thing that we hope that Hickman would be able to do is to leave the Hulk and Captain America’s fate unknown. Also leave what happened to the villain apocalypse and have their fate unknown I disagree with trying to have Dr. doom in this story. He’s being overused and marvel. Shouldn’t try to ram him into everything.

Staying in sync with the story and what they have provided so far, I believe Black Panther will arrive soon with his son and save Cap, Hulk and the remaining survivors and take them to Mars or where ever Stark is going, if they know. This is an outstanding story! Marvel is not short on excellent story content. Why this doesn't translate onto the big screen is beyond me. I greatly appreciate your telling of these great story's Rob, you literally bring more life to them by filling in gaps and or questions we may have! This story is nuts. I keep thinking back to Prometheus where humanity was searching for their creators and stumbled upon the Engineers as being their Gods, but then you transition to Marvel where the Celestials take on the same role as the Engineers in that regard. So in a sense, David is more akin to Ultron than anything else while the Engineers are akin to the Celestials. I would love to see David and Ultron team up or see the Engineers take on Celestials.
