You didn’t talk about it since it was just a tie in, but one of the best fights with the black Lanterns was in blackest night flash. When the rogues faced off against black lantern version of their former teammates, and they forced themselves to stop feeling anything long enough to kill them. What made t even better was seeing the emotional light in captain cold slowing fade out into gray empathy from his black lantern sisters perceptive.

Merry Christmas Rob Corps! This story has tremendous sentimental value for me: my best friend of 20 years committed suicide in early 2011 and this was the last series of comics that we read together. Very similar story here...y best friend took his life when we were 15. We never read this or any other comics together, but he was really obsessed with this story. So I read it after he passed and it became my favorite comic as well. Then with the help of our school wood-shop teacher I made all 9 different power rings and gave them to his parents.

I may be late on these but I'm here now. I like the guys that read the comics and do the voices but I like how you relate the comics to real life. Lanterns cool because of the necessity of emotion. I really like when you said they came together to not die which is a selfish reason but selfishness is not inherently evil. Blackest Night is easily my favourite DC and comic book event of all time. It has some of the most amazing artwork and storytelling I’ve ever seen and the build up to it was awesome and the execution was even better. The rings choosing Barry, Diana, Scarecrow, Mera, Atom and Luthor was cool as hell to see. Especially Avarice for Luthor and Fear for Scarecrow, that’s just genius, it works so well . I think my favourite moment from the story is when Barry says “ *Life* doesn’t give *us* purpose, Black Hand. *We* give *life* purpose” I cried reading that because my Uncle recently passed before I finished this book and that quote couldn’t be more true

As far as the Endless, didn't they just embody the concept? As far as continuity, Death of the Endless was the embodiment of death as the end. If I remember correctly, she had even said that she would even be taking the entire universe itself "locking the door on the way out". So Nekron was more along the 'emotional' death, like apathy. Death of the Endless, was there at the first birth, and will be there at the last death. So you could say Death of the Endless was there the moment the Monitor was. When you think of the Endless of DC Universe, think along the lines of an Infinity Stone from Marvel. So, like an infinity stone, there are others that channel aspects of their power. Like a demigod, or like the lantern rings.

This is why I want there to be a Injustice 3 Blackest Night Story. So much of the Injustice storyline hints at a possible Black Lantern invasion. The death of numerous heroes and villians. Hal Jordan turning evil and redemmed. Sinestro being imprisoned. The introducrion and faliure of Atrocitus trying to recuit Hal into the red lanterns. The Green lanterns being nearly destroyed. Its as though the stories somewhat reflect the prelude to this story line. Some things in the main storyline would be tweaked, but this storyline would be perfect.

John Stewart is the first Green Lantern I learned about or the obvious reason of Justice League. So for me when I saw Hal Jordan I was like “yo who is this”. John was really cool to me. I didn’t own or know all the much about comics when I was younger and so the show was my introduction to a lot of the heroes nowadays

i REALLY hope we get to see Blackest Night in the upcoming HBO Green Lantern show. i almost feel like this may be the best play DC has left that could be an endgame event now. seems like the GL animated series from a decade ago was on the cusp of their version before cancellation, they introduced various lantern corps and had just defeated yellow lantern sinestro and killed the anti monitor. though it obviously would have had to been toned down.
