I can see how this could play out. The Enternals had a civil war Mentor and Sui get busy have Eros and Thanos (figuring out how to reproduce) the Titans go nuts with it and over population sets in setting up Thanos' motivation stated in Infinity War.

Hey Rob - Don't know if you spotted a huge potential MCU link - Quantum bands (Nega-bands) = The Ten Rings *Shang Chi and the legend of the ten rings* - changed the rings into bracelets (bands) and had "The great protector" as the dragon (Makluans, Axonn-Karr, Space Dragons) Eon gave the quantum bands to the "Protectors of the universe" - they get their power from the quantum realm - which links into *Ant-man & The Wasp: Quantumania* Copies of the bands were made "The Nega-bands" which connected to the negative zone allowing Rick Jones and Captain Marvel (trapped in the negative zone at the time) to switch places which links into *The Fantastic Four* with the original 10 rings - they were said to contain the spirits of great warriors (protectors) - which could be used to bring in Quasar, Blue Marvel, Nova (Richard Rider), Thelius (link to *Eternals*) Eon is a cosmic entity linked to both Eternity and Yggdrasill which brings *Thor: Love and Thunder* and *Guardians of the Galaxy 3* into the mix meaning that this one shot comic has just connected most of the upcoming movie phase and provides a route for a group of characters to enter the MCU or its a tenuous red herring

At this point if they brought him back it wouldn't matter unless he ends up being a variant closer to the comics...mcu did little to nothing as far as fleshing him out, the Eternals movie should have been the one to be released in between Infinity War and Endgame instead of Captain Marvel.

As a Swede, I think that the name A'Lars is rather funny. Lars is a common Swedish male name, mainly popular around 40-50-60 years ago, so there's a lot of (mainly older) Swedes called "Lars", so this is to me basically "A Lars" XD

I don't think the Quantum Bands were merely ceremonial in that scene. They are probably going to be a relevant plot device down the line. Maybe they served as the catalyst for Thanos actually being born to A'Lars and Sui-San the traditional way. I wouldn't be surprised if it turned out Thanos has a natural weakness to the Quantum Bands for this reason.

We know that Shang Chi is a child of 2 universes: MCU and the universe his Aunty lives in. We know there are 10 rings of power and 10 Eternals. What if his 10 rings are actually the reforged power cores of the Eternals from Shang Chi’s aunt’s universe. They are a beacon calling out for someone or something. What if they are calling Galactus or his herald Silver Surfer who reside in the universe of I can imagine Galactus is the last Celestial of his universe because he ate all the others and now needs to feed on planets just to survive. If he finds out there is another universe full of Celestials he will come to that feast quickly.

While I like the idea of the MCU delving farther into the concept of Thanos being manipulated by Death and bringing it more into line with the comics I'm extremely doubtful they will do that. Pretty sure apart from referencing him and the events of Infinity War and Endgame they probably won't go farther into him and just focus on the next big bad they wanna add into the mix. Which for me sucks cuz Thanos is still my favorite Marvel character of all time

Read the graphic novel "Titan Consumed" if you can Rob. It confirms Thanos wasn't lying about Titan. It's a great book detailing the life of MCU Thanos until Infinity War.

So serious question here. If the new externals movie is saying that the externals didn’t get involved because the celestials ordered them to only get involved if deviants were involved. Thanos is literally an eternal deviant hybrid. What he was doing would effect not just humans, but eternals, celestials that may still be alive, and every other living being or entity in the universe. There is no excuse for them not getting involved. All of the eternals together could easily take thanos down even if he had a power stone and space stone. Do you think that they are going to change the background story of thanos?

I read "Eternals: Celestia" and does the new Eternals comics explain why Ajak and Makkari have new forms because this comic goes as far as to show Ajak's new form facing Avengers One Million or is the Eternals so obscure that the owners can change major aspects without explanation. When the Machine resurrects an Eternal the Eternal has an opportunity to change their appearance. Ikaris tells Iron Man that it's normal for an Eternal to switch genders every few ten thousand years in the first issue of the new series.

Marvel is adding both the Greek gods and the Eternals to the MCU in phase 4. Originally, the Eternals wasn't canon to marvel comics and was made to be a part of it later. This lead to the issue that the eternals are heavily based on the Greek gods and have similar or straight out the exact same names. Not to mention both live in mount olympus, what? The comics gave a half arsed explanation to it, hopefully the MCU can come up with a better one.
