I had a puppet Twitter account to watch these people and see what they were mad about that week. I closed it. It was an unhealthy part of my online habits that only made me feel angry. Their lives are a dark sickness. They should be held accountable for their actual actions like they’re trying to make other accountable for actions they just made up.

Amen. I used to watch some channels with Bob Chipman, the Amazing Atheist and Steve Smith....I think out of a morbid curiosity about their political views and just how much I disagreed with them. But it makes as much sense as drinking poison for fun. You should understand the arguments from the other side, you should keep an open mind, but not everyone has something to teach you.

These people subconsciously see themselves as puny, small, and insignificant. They're insecure. That's why they have no problem shouting all this crazy and potentially dangerous nonsense--they don't think anyone important will listen or that anything will happen. They're like a spoiled child acting out for attention--nobody is listening so just throw a tantrum and scream louder until they do. This small-person mindset is also why they're always constantly going on about how powerful and brave they are. And then if something does happen well "OMG someone listened to me teehee, I have power!"

Bruh Nick "the Thicc" Spencer really killed a lot of joy in comics for me. The worst part is knowing that for everything that he did to Cap (I still don't think they fixed it, they just left that plotline dangling for all eternity) he's writing Spider-Man now (which has made me stop reading it, I pop back in every now and then, but I just can't) and the same people who were YASSS KWEENing him back then are now shitting on him, all I'm left with is a melancholic "what now?" On a lighter note I got 499 yesterday, it was excellent!

How can you call someone a white supremacist for using an analogy when that person also uses the same analogy to verbally ruin people they don’t like? Also, that part she said about the duck is very problematic by their logic. What if it doesn’t identify as a duck and wants to say moo?

A lot of those people responding to this Rosberg chick sound like they're walking a fine line: "Wait, he is?" they ask, hoping to get more information, but secretly doubting. "Of course! Didn't you see the _things he said_ and _how he acted?"_ she hedges. "Oh, O.K." is the vague, noncommittal response as the doubter's suspicion is confirmed: She has no evidence, she's just making a baseless assertion. Nevertheless, he can't actually argue with her because he either likes her and doesn't want to be on her bad side, or he's afraid of her, or because he actually likes Nick Spencer's work and doesn't want to have a reason to abandon it. "Oh, good. She has no actual logic to her accusation, she's just doing that thing she does. Phew!" The subtext is bare.

Wow. I actually thought she believed Nick was the other Spencer. She does know they're different people and still trying to use anything to get rid of him, so she can then pine for a job, or is just that miserable that ruining lives is the only thing she has since as an Eisner winner; Caitlin gets no job offers. This is the evil that comics has let fester, and until they have no power, they'll always find a target. Still hate Nick Spencer since he destroyed Captain America and his pandering brought this upon himself.

Been reading comics a long time (I'm an old a$$ pug, okay?)...I look at the bookcases in my house, I see the hundreds of TPB's and HC's and I just want to put em all on eBay and give up on comics entirely. Coincidentally, Secret Empire might have been the last Marvel event book I purchased, and the payoff was almost as crap as Fraction's Fear Itself. "Cap's a German WW2 lover....psych!! To try to drive a person to madness, to remove from them their means to sustaining themselves and to destroy their very reputation before they are dead and gone makes these people the worst kinds of villains. I wouldn't mind seeing a world in which this kind of defamation can open you to a libel lawsuit sixteen years after you thoughtlessly write it (if someone doesn't get a job in 15 years because of it). The proof would be readily available, whether you scrub your account or not. Would it be poetic justice, or pushing the pendulum too far in the other direction, if someone found herself in court for having written something this damaging - years and years after having forgotten she even did it?

While I'm not for cancel culture and what this person is doing, I seem to recall Nick Spencer being one of the original people to call readers who were critical of his stories, or who may not have the exact political leanings as he does, the exact same names he finds himself being called. And wasn't he also a key part of the whisper network that blacklisted anyone involved in, with, or around Comicsgate? He never apologized or showed a change of heart, as far as I'm aware. Do I support this kind of behavior? Nope. not at all. But still...I don't have to "save" him. The crazies are eating their own. Let them. It's the only way for this cancel culture madness to eventually come to an end.
