Yep. Bily in his "evil ways" seems to be actually fulfiling a fair bit of Shazaam's original goals. .WHich is wierd. Unles its "billy's regrets over past mistakes" like losing/not accepting his family. Then failing to fight black adam/not fulfiling Shazam's original wish for him to be a protector. Beating up the various gods he fe els is reponsible for various things-they lend powers.. But they do not care to help the world (sorta)

I absolutely love Black Adam and Shazam so much; and would love nothing more than to see for of the stories in both separate and mainstream comics. Although Black Adam started off as a tyrant with godlike powers; hes slowly but surely became a more level headed and...human leader. After the whole infected storyline eventually comes to an end; I would love to see Shazam visit Black Adam and attempt to consolidate their differences; maybe even to go as far as him asking for teachings on how to properly respect his powers

Makes sense for Shazam to beat Superman while (arguably) lose to Black Adam. Superman's weakness to magic makes Shazam and Black Adam his kryptonite personified. Nearly every attack they do, he's weak against. Billy's lack of experience and admiration of Superman is really the only thing Supes has going for him in a 1-on-1 fight. Those things go away once Billy starts laughing.

While Black Adam's personality was nailed pretty much perfectly in this comic, I feel his powers weren't. Compared to his pre-Flashpoint self he's so much weaker its a joke. I understand the argument that he potentially lost for a reason here or lost on purpose so his people could come to the realisation they had inherent power (and he did get up at the end and move just fine, indicating he wasn't that hurt) but it would've been nice to see him kick Shazam's ass like he was more than capable of before 2011. I hope for the day Black Adam returns as one of the most powerful characters in DC who can punch through the Spectre's head as easy as one cracks an egg.

Amen. Though a lot of it is consistent writing. Here you have him being beat by Shazam (though I think it was mentioned he was powerless during the sunrise), whereas in Doomsday Clock he's electrocuting Wonder Woman and blowing back Superman. But here's some good news if you'll take it as such: Black Adam's Pre-Flashpoint version has recently been merged with his New 52 version. Adam's deceased wife and children were mentioned twice already and a few days ago Isis and Osiris were brought up.
