Groot can speak his "I am Groot" is actually more complex he can actually say "I understand your language but I'm afraid you don't understand me" it allows the reader to try to translate what Groot means every time he repeats I am groot.

I have to say I am extremely new to the whole Rocket Raccoon and Groot storyline every since the Guardians of the Galaxy came out I have been extremely attached to Groot and Rocket and it's sad because I am a huge Marvel fanatic and I just got into Rocket and Groot but the storyline had me almost about to cry and I'm not afraid to admit it but at the same time I love the friendship between not only Rocket and Groot but at the fact that Groot can find peace and love and everyone this is by far probably one of mine favorite best friend team ups in the Marvel Universe I thank you for introducing this comic book to me I actually went out and bought the comic books well I bought the whole varying or the volume however they call it just cuz I seen the first five minute video you did dude you are freaking amazing keep doing stuff like this this is one of the few comic books I want to let my kids read
