Once the allegations came to light, people on social media ran with it and started to talk about it extensively and news orgs pretty much doxxed him by getting his parents home address and, as they do, harass them to get a sound bite. Once he was pretty much disavowed by Jim Rugg and all these people on KZbin and social media forced him into hiding, and some even revelling in their contribution, he saw no need to continue. What’s really messed up is the aftermath, especially after his su i cide note named the people who contributed to his downfall, people took it as a call to harass those people named.

I feel like the MCU has lost momentum and the Fantastic Four could be a good vehicle to try to kickstart the brand but the Silver Surfer casting is kind of a downer for me. I know that middle aged comic readers are not the target audience for Marvel so maybe it will be a big hit. I haven’t watched much Marvel since End Game and this casting doesn’t really sway me.

I would argue that middle-aged comic readers absolutely have been and should be the target audience for Marvel. Miggle-aged comic readers are the ones who love the characters and then help the next generation love the characters through their kids. The MCU has successful because of the respect Marvel placed on the love of the characters shown by decades of readers and especially the work done by the many characters' creators. Instead of picking the version of Silver Surfer with nearly 60 years of history (1966 - 2024) and essentially all the iconic moments for the Surfer, Marvel is moving forward with the much less iconic version of the character, shooting themselves in the foot in the process. Marvel is losing their audience and they have no one to blame but themselves. On what planet does it make sense to choose the less popular version of the character, ESPECIALLY when there is such a huge difference in popularity? The answer is simple, it doesn't.

@@tannerbailey2990 John Byrne’s Trial Of Galactus arc from FF 242-244 is tailor made for a movie. It introduces Galactus’ origin, it incorporates Spider-man, Daredevil and the Avengers who are already in the MCU. The story can be told over a series of movies much like Thanos’ story.

Watch that Ozark, man! It's great and Julia Garner is the best thing in it! As with most shows, though, it peaks in the first season, and deteriorates progressively with each following season. But definitely watch season 1!

EARTH X is one of my all time favorite series. It's twelve issue connecting Alex Ross covers plus a zero issue plus an epilogue issue...plus an Alex ross sketchbook issue...PLUS a 1/2 issue (which is incredible, dont pass it up). The covers are all by Ross but the interior art is by the equally talented John Paul Leon (RIP). Go on and spec but also do read this amazing series.

Bought a silver surfer origins at a con in HTX. 3.5 for 10 bucks. Also. Just blowing my own horn. For Xmas 15 years ago I got a giant sized xmen 2.5 on eBay for 100 bucks.
