I loved the old formation as well but they are still as great in my view. Look at the live show in tampere 2012. I kinda think the guitar sound improved. Matias is an amazing player and fits the band well. But I agree. It´s not the same without Tolkki

Tolkki is a god, and if he's serious about his work he has the damned right to be, the man created several masterpieces, however, only while within stratovarius in my opinion, you could say tolkki got worse without strato, but not that strato got better without him, he's responsible for so much greatness, but i am incredibly impressed with how well polaris and elysium were done, and nemesis is looking alright, but straying a bit from stratos already perfect sound
