SO EMOTIONALLY MATURE to support your FRIENDS feelings ab something that’s unfortunately seen as scandalous. Coming out can feel SO consuming of our mental health and emotional rational that it’s understandable that most people are so preoccupied with their own journey that we forget how other people are affected by it. I remember one of my friends emailing me after I officially came out and she told me she was only sad and a little angry that I hadn’t felt comfortable sharing it with her before so many other people, and at first I wanted to be angry at her or call her unsupportive but then I realized my own personal experience and hardship had nothing to do with HER own personal experiences and hardships. Coming out should be easy but it’s not and I think a lot of people forget to not just consider other peoples reactions to it but also that those other people have a full ass life outside of our ties to them. Sorry I’m ranting but this video has honestly given me so much hope for the future when it comes to being queer. Emotional intelligence and empathy and awareness outside of oneself is so important and I’m really proud of Nick as well as his brothers and friends being so supportive xo

I needed this when I was 17. There was nobody to talk to and it was a lonely place to be. I'm now 57 and seeing videos of the younger generations being public is such a great thing. Able to find one another as a support system that also included straight friends is a powerful thing. Time moves fast. Faster and faster which you will notice when you hit 40. Ask your parents. They'll confirm this. Freedom is peace. You've brought it into your soul and are helping others do the same by.......... just being yourselves.

Hi sturniolos!! I’m new to the fandom and I just saw this and it gave me sm confidence to tell my friends/ family big secrets I don’t wanna tell anyone. Nick I’m so beyond proud that you decided to share this on social media as it’s a very dark place. I hope you all have an amazing day/night I love you all so much!

As a person who didn't get accepted by my parents when I came out to them, this made me happy that there are people that want to show awareness. I sadly don't have Instagram or any other social media platforms other than KZbin and Gmail, but it would be nice if I could tell the @Sturniolo brothers my story. Thanks, Nick, Matt, and Chris. Happy Holidays.

the boys 100% love and support you and so do i 🫶🏻 i hope you know that there are so many people out there who will and do accept you for you and although we might not compare to the significance of your parents the support i have and i know the boys have for you is quadruple that and more. i hope you have happy holodays🤍

I’m so sorry you went through that. Nobody should ever feel like they aren’t excepted for who they are, you deserve so much better!! Your very brave to come out and I hope you know we all love and support you for who you are :))

@@gIossier Thank you! I appreciate the support, It's been almost 3 years since my mom hasn't accepted me for who I am. I'm an FTM which means a female to male transgender and my mom says to me "Your not a boy your a girl. I'm trying to protect you. You're confused, this is a phase it will pass." It hasn't passed. I've been like this since I was able to pic out my own clothes and it won't change. Happy Holidays!

I was chatting w one of my close friends recently and he said "You were the most chill person ever when I said I was trans. I thought you didn't even hear me at first because you j said 'ok'. I even asked you again and made sure that you understood I was going by he/him now but you were still so chill" I literally was shocked bc I didn't remember that and I am so glad that I was able to help him feel more comfortable telling more ppl

I know that this video was posted a long time ago, but it still has a huge amount of importance. Coming out is one of the most difficult things to do, especially when you cannot stop thinking about how family members and people just, close to you will react to the situation. I really wish that I could this, I really do. Seeing Nick explain it like this, and just talk about it. So important. Thank you for posting this, guys :)
