I have a 4 year old son and have always said that no matter what i will ALWAYS stick by his side, i have mentioned before that if any of my children were to be gay i would love them the same, my son loves to play with "girly" toys he loves the color pink, when we are out in about my son loves to bring his favorite pink minnie mouse cup as well as other "girly" toys that are pink, but i want my son to be himself i do not care. And i do not believe my son is gay, i just want to mention that i fully support all my kids no matter what. lifes too short to not except one another.

If you come out, be prepared to answer some questions or provide guidance for younger family members who will ask very personal questions about sex, body parts, marriage, children, how do you know, etc. Some questions will be out of curiosity while other will be out of concern. You don't have to tell everything but assuring them they are okay, you're okay, and everything will be fine is the best for an initial conversation. There also may be questions your siblings don't want to ask in front of another adult so be sure to give them private time to discuss it and respond at an age appropriate level. As Tate Faultner articulated below, this may have some side effects at their school so help them prepare as well. Again, a beautiful video, Campbell. haha. My parents coerced me into attending a christian college from which I was expelled when it was discovered I was gay. The college told my parents everything about me and sent me home. Then my parents kicked me out as well. Fun story. Fortunately I managed to find housing with another person who was in a similar situation and am now happy and living a great life.
