This is definitely one of Eddie’s best movies. Him and Arsenio had good comic chemistry

Men want get married because of their money. Inside and outside the church . It’s biblical. Boaz ended up with Ruth because the initial man didn’t wanna jeopardize his position and money

I think a lot of yall are missing the fact that she never cared about the money, it was Akeem wasn't upfront in the beginning. It hurts like hell to feel betrayed. I get why he did it, but still, she deserved to know the truth

Tell him No tell him you want a 🐒 and 🦒 and an 🐘 and a big house out in the wilderness where the grass is green and everything is very quiet 🤐. Most importantly you want a deck at the top of the house so when life hits you hard and you need a different view of things you can sit at the top like the queen you are and have a peace of mind with a nice drink watching your two dogs play around the pond at the bottom of you big fenced in yard. Also tell him you want a bird bath for the birds that understand harmony and peace to eat off of and bath happy as well and then he might can join you if you see that he is the king that needs to be sitting rightfully in that castle with you. 😉

Who does Akeem end up marrying?
@cisio641239 жыл бұрын
+Lyra Yoki *Major spoiler* Akeem returns home with a broken heart, resigned to marry Imani, the woman chosen for him by his parents. On the way to the airport, King Jaffe remarks that Akeem can't marry Lisa anyway because of "tradition," and tries defending himself by saying "Who am I to change it?", with Queen Aeoleon curtly responding, "I thought you were the _King_". At the final scene's wedding procession, Akeem, still heartbroken, waits dejectedly at the altar as his soon-to-be consort makes her way down the aisle. However, when Akeem lifts the veil to begin the ceremony, he finds Lisa instead of Imani. Akeem and Lisa are married, and they ride happily in a carriage after the ceremony to the cheers of Zamundans. Witnessing such splendor, Lisa is both surprised and touched by the fact that Akeem would have given it up just for her. Akeem offers to formally abdicate if she doesn't want a life like this, but Lisa playfully says Nah and decides to become royalty instead.

You are pointless
@diddiaskew30842 жыл бұрын
Sweetheart, if it hadn't been a thing, since the beginning of time, America wouldn't have made it against the law for people of other races to marry black people - until Loving versus the state of Virginia - in the 60's. If nobody fell in love with black people there would be no black people. You just illustrated your ignorance and your prejudice. The list of other races in love with black people among the Rich and famous is long - look it up.
