@stoic romulan The communist dems have tried to blame Vlad for 'helping ' Trump for FOUR YEARS, and you know what they have proven? That there are no facts to support it. None. Nada. Zilch. They have also proven if you have a complicit media towing the leftist party line for just as long, that idiots like you will believe the lies over facts. As for slavery? We freed slaves (by we, I mean Republicans) over 150 years ago. The dems (the slave owners) were defeated. We created a Constitutional amendment over 50 years ago (dems were against it) to ensure their rights. No apology needed. It's been fixed. Europe had plenty of slaves as well, a fact many in the EU like yto forget. Of course, so did Africa.

In 1893 Matilda Joslyn Gage wrote a book called "Woman, Church and State". She describes girls being lured into prostitution with ads for nannies and housekeepers, only to find themselves chained up in a cabin in a logging camp. This was contemporary with Frederick's saloon/brothel enterprise. So far as I've read, it's made to sound like he wasn't personally involved in what was happening there, or like the women he was running were independent contractors there to get a piece of that Yukon gold the easy way. I'm not so sure. If girls were being lured to the logging camps of Wisconsin in the 1890's, why would it be any different in the gold fields of Alaska in the same timeframe?

@@captainl-ron4068 Well, Cap (can I call you Cap? Well, I'm gonna anyway) See, Cap, I don't know where you're from, but since you refer to Americans as "Yanks" I'm going to guess it's not from here. So anyway, despite being too old to be a hipster, I really like avocados. Lots of good omegas and stuff. There's that stereotype shot, I guess. Anyway, in America, "Yanks" come from the east coast. Avocados are grown on the west coast. Now me, living on the east coast, I am, indeed, a Yank. So you see, Cappie (I'm calling you Cappie now) I really have nothing to do with picking avocados or how much workers are paid to pick them. That being said, I'm not a fan of the whole immigrants are only good for shit jobs thing either. But here in America (where you may or may not live) we have these creatures called "Republicans". They are of the genus conservatus. Not very bright, always afraid of losing out on something, not big on compassion or empathy. They yell a lot too. Mostly tinfoil hat conspiracies, but they also have this thing about immigrants coming and taking their jobs. Weird little creatures. I like to call them the "I, Me, Mys" because everything is all about them. You have to be delicate with them. So you remind them that immigrants aren't taking "their" jobs, since they don't do the jobs immigrants do (one of them which happens to be picking avocados. See? There was a point to me using that as an example). Calms them down, which is good because their faces get all red and splotchy their eyes get all bloodshot-it really isn't pretty. tl:dr of course, you asshole, I know that immigrants deserve better. But the reality is that at this point immigrants AREN'T taking Americans jobs because they do jobs that Americans are too wussy to do. Does it suck? Yeah. Can I, personally, fix it? Well, no. Tracy Rowe if you fall for the 'durka dur' South Park stereotype....then I can't help you. Your misplacing of blame and blatant political partisanship is also kinda unproductive. I know some people have had a bug up their bums about the 'evil republicans' and have never forgiven the GOP for setting their slaves free....but thems the breaks and the Dems will just have to get over it....we don't let people own others anymore. The use of field slaves is not moral. It shouldn't be this hard to get people to understand this basic precept in 2020. My own countrymen stuffed the abolition of slavery down the rest of the world's collective throats quite a long time ago.

@@tracyroweauthor This is nothing new. The U.S. has had the same immigration policy since 1776, or even before when the Brits ran this place. Every group of people who came here were labor for someone. Of course, the Africans didn't have a choice and were brought here against their will. Factories were starting and someone had to work in them. Farmland wasn't sold to European settlers because we wanted to help poor, landless peasants. It's because someone had to plow land that had never been farmed before. We have this idea of America opening its doors to immigrants because we felt sorry for them, want to give them freedom, etc. But the real reason is, there was hard work to do and someone had to do it. Which is why Trump's story kind if brings up the "take our jobs" complaint. He was a barber, a middle class job, and it was unusual for an immigrant at the time.

@Dave A. Kennedy handed Vietnam to Robert McNamara who sent faulty, non chrome lined chambers, M16s to the troops. He did that after he was told by Eugene Stoner the guns would not operate as expected without the Chrome lining. Of course he did make one step first , he had his people see which would be more cost-effective, send the guns back to get them chrome-lined or pay for the projected military funerals. McNamara chose the latter not the former. So there you go Kennedy was such a bad president he delegated being a shitbag out to someone else so they could crap bag all over the place. (Not to mention requiring the monitoring of social media accounts for ppl seeking naturalization, limiting Temporary Protective Status given in cases of war or natural disaster, seriously investigating scores of naturalized citizens in an effort to revoke said status, and so much more) Even more importantly, there are so many ways this administration has made it much more difficult to LEGALLY IMMIGRATE TO THE U.S., so the "just come here legally, they did it!" argument doesn't apply anymore.
