The launch is not over yet my friend they will have another launch of some other bikes, we should understand that if they are launching motorcycles they have to make sure that it reaches all the dealerships on time, can't do it with 10 bikes and i have heard that bookings for 390 have started unofficially
@PRAG318 күн бұрын
@@harshsoni6255 They should launch their bikes according to the demands of customers. 390 currently has the highest demand and will be sold the highest numbers. Some people like me are waiting for the new 390 for more than half a year.

The reason Hero brought 250CC instead of the 440 engine is because it will first try to capture the KTM fanbase first with the premium elements. After that it will give the option of higher CC engines
@AnandSingh-zg9iw19 күн бұрын
In my opinion, the Hero 250R is definitely going to sell well since the 250cc segment isn't too crowded right now. You've got the TVS 200 and KTM 250, but after that, it jumps straight to the 300cc bikes, which are a lot pricier. If Hero comes out with a good-looking street fighter, it could really hit the sweet spot. And as for the Aprilia 457 - that bike is absolutely going to shake up the market! A lot of us were hesitant about the 457 because of its aggressive riding position, but with this new version? Hell yeah, it's gonna be a game-changer!

Don't understand why there is so much confusion with Hero in a mature journalist like PD's mind! Xpulse 210 is more of a continuous update of the current Xpulse with new everything! After that, the Xpulse brand is going to have multiple offerings for different segments, with entry level 210 cc and larger 421 cc that is going to come in 2025. Next, the 250 cc products are going to be additions to the current portfolio, where Xtreme and Karizma brands will have multiple engine displacement options like what KTM does. So there will be (for all the three brands, Xpulse, Karizma and Xtreme) multiple displacement bikes for different segments under different unified brand names! As simple as that!

Yes but that will also mean that it can easily become prime target for chappris. As much as I'd like to see a ktm-sm, it's not a great idea. Besides nobody has a problem with ground clearance on bikes, its mostly a made up issue by car buyers who haven't driven yet.

You just brushed past that statement, why wont swappable batteries work in India?
@PriyadarshanBawikar14 күн бұрын
The issue with swappable batteries is that they require significant more investment from the manufacturer. From what I understand, manufactures need to make 1.5x more batteries than EVs to sustain a swapping ecosystem. That might work great in a small country like Taiwan where Gogoro has setup just such a system. But on a scale like India, it becomes almost unfeasible IMHO. On top of that, each manufacturer has their own proprietary battery, which means that if Honda were to bring a scooter with swappable batteries, no other manufacturer will be able to use their swap stations. If manufacturers come together and make a universal battery standard... then we're talking.
@onemorethompson14 күн бұрын
@@PriyadarshanBawikar Convenience is king. If we want people to adopt EV scooters, it’s not just important - it’s everything. '1.5x the inventory'? So what? Yes, a swappable battery system means more batteries. But that’s not a cost problem - it’s a business opportunity. Leasing batteries spreads the cost over years, lowers the price for consumers upfront and creates steady revenue for manufacturers. Batteries last longer than most people own their vehicles anyway. Stop looking at it as a hurdle, it’s an asset. India’s scale is perfect, not a problem. India’s cities are packed and people ride short distances. That’s not a downside - it’s ideal. Swapping hubs can focus on urban clusters where the action is, just like Gogoro did in Taiwan. We don’t need to cover the whole country on Day One. Start where it makes sense and grow from there. Proprietary batteries? Please. Remember when every phone charger was different? Then USB and Type-C came along and fixed that mess. The same thing can happen here. If the government or manufacturers don’t get it together and agree on a universal battery standard, they’re just leaving money on the table. A shared system helps everyone win. Look at UPI-it’s a perfect example of how shared infrastructure can revolutionize an entire market. Convenience wins every time. Think about it. Swappable batteries solve the big pain points: - No more range anxiety. Pull in, swap and go. Done in minutes. - No more “my battery died, so now my scooter is junk.” Just get a new one. - No more “I don’t have a private garage to charge my EV.” You don’t need one. - Lower upfront costs. Lease the battery and the scooter becomes affordable for way more people. Human behavior - People hate friction. They’ll always pick what’s easier, faster and cheaper. And swapping beats waiting hours to charge every single time. A paradigm shift doesn’t come easy, but it’s worth it. Yes, setting up the infrastructure is work. But once it’s there, it changes everything. Imagine a world where range anxiety and battery worries are dead. That’s the future swappable batteries can deliver. It’s not just a nice-to-have, it’s the way forward.
@onemorethompson14 күн бұрын
@PriyadarshanBawikar Saying that I'll add.. Honda has the tech, but where’s the ambition? Honda and the Japanese manufacturers? They’ve been playing it too safe in India. They’ve got the tools to pull off something like swappable batteries, but they’re moving at a snail’s pace in a market that demands bold moves. And honestly, why should we wait for Honda? Some of our older Indian giants know this market inside out. They understand the chaos, the needs and the scale better than anyone. Swappable batteries aren’t just a tech challenge - they’re a market opportunity screaming for someone to grab it.

Agree...Hero's strategy sounds confusing to me too. If you guys can contact them to know, might be usefull. The Karizma's 210 now is used for Xpulse. While the new Karizma & its naked brother will get a new 250 (but not the Xpulse). The Maverick & Harley use the 440 engine, but for Xpulse again another new 400 engine. Why so many engines? Even KTM is able to pull off using 1 engines across genres... Looks like Hero is slogging too much for too little.
@anishghosh956319 күн бұрын
So the thing is, the 210 is a cheaper and lighter engine so it suits xpulse more whereas the 250 is way more sportier and somewhat heavier and not so cheap. About the 440 engine that's meant to be a cruiser engine with long torque band, slow revving calm engine cannot be used for a off-road bike that's why. About KTM, all of their bikes are kinda sporty so they can get away with using 1 engine for every (bajaj is famous for making 300 models on a single engine)

I will take the SMC 390 any day over the duke 390. I would prefer a tubeless tyre version though, spoke or alloy is not a big concern but tubeless tyres are. Another thing I would like to say is please bring some original setup from your end. You guys just look like a cheap comedy spoof of Moinc. And your scripts are poorly written. It actually started to sound irritating after about four and a half minutes and that's when I closed your video!
