Professsssssional photog here of 18+ years.. buying or booking photos doesn’t mean you own them Jax :) copyright law protects who made them as the outright owner and everyone has they own release agreements but yes, crazy caption- especially if by chance she hadn’t signed a photo release which she could definitely state in defense to take it down the damage of being offended is already done. Best way to approach it is to tell the photographer you are upset and use it as leverage to get another photo session deal done because most professionals want repeat clients who are happy with them. But, I also switched to non portrait photography even before the filter craze happened because unfortunately; a lot of people do actually hate how they look, pick apart portraits, and it’s impossible to please everyone when they are used to smiling for selfie mode.
