iknow right i been a westwood fan sience i first saw my older brother playing it on his n64 i believe it was i soon ran out to eletronics boutique and got myself a copy of the game that would work with my mothers comp wich i thibk at the time it was windows 95 i got good enough when i got redalert and every add on like counterstrike & aftermath i would go online and if we where playing a rush game with no bt i would use my v2 rockegts as snipers that i would drive on the far flanks as to where i assume the enemy base is due to seeing the start points on map we where playin & honestly i knew every map from playin skirmish games against comp n playin vs my older brother n later my younger one too who i wo uld have to let him blow some of my shit up some times cuz usually i would nvr let any one get me with a nuke i would use migs n outflan k there aa guns or sams n have my spy plane fly overthe area i gtg in with my migs to tell em to fly to a certian spot of land i got to uncover from the fog of war n would have to be fast n careful in how i guided my migs in as to be shure each one fired its missles into the silo with just enflightpath that i had used to sneak around his fixed heavy defencive aa guns wich as u kno the allied aa guns shootvough migs to be shure it blows up even if he manages to shoot one down due to him maybey being smart n pumpin out some rocket soldiers quickly and put em in my flightpath that i used to sneak in around his main aa defencive guns wich i used to have a lot of around paremiter of my base next toevery tesla coil i had built behind my bases defencive wall i would usually build a nice wall around my base makeing stronger defencive protection makein it harder for any one to manage to sneak a tanya or a engineer into my base n capture one of my buildings quick while im watching n controlling tanks of mine in another area at moment is perf time to try n fly in with a rissian transportchopper well i would allways come in with at least 2 or 3 of em loaded with tanyas n sum engineers i would use to capture a building any building just so i could quickly place a tesla coil i have built and just waitin to be p,laced somewhere cuz mne suddenly havein a teslacoil n than a flame tower next to that real quick jusy cuz those shoot fast n ill want it there to keep shoting after the tesla coil fires its blast at whatever i told it to at the moment but as hes desperatly trying to destroy my building i have in middle lof his base that of cource started on the outskirts of his base outta sight of any of his turn if i rets or pill boxes& if i was vs some oone on a map that had a sizeable amount of water on it was my turn to be the allies n my bro the soviets i would usually own any one on a watery map i was a master at swhipeing out bases with the allied battleship thoo it was called a cruiser in the game but obviouslt is a battleship with its big ass heavy turrets fireing big powerfulshells furthger than anything else inbthe game shoots tho the sovier missle subs where a great addation in retaliation useing force fire i coulxd get the allied cruiser to make quick work iof every advanced powerplant in the enemy base n shut down the tesla coils long enough for bunch of my bspeedy lil light tanks supported with equally fast mg jeeps and apc's the allies had that i would have fulla the moast useful infantry the allies had like tanya n rocket troopers and engineers i would use in apcs cuxz the apc is fas espeicialkly compared to an engineer on foot that u see comeing for awhile n send out sum attack dogs to kill em b4 he gets near my bases paremiter wall my lil bro had learned it wasa gud idea to quickly encircle ur construction yard and first lil power plant u put next to it he copied what i did in skirmish gaes to stop the ais early rush with infintry n engineers n the other few vehicles u start withwhile ur usein ur tanks out to battle with theirs that u catch headin towards ur base they often manage to sneak sum inf by u with them engineers they start with n rush ur con yard n barracks early on n will get it to some on whos busy with the battle elsewhere n boom 1c lousy engineer manages to slip by ur line of sight due to the fog of war rgat i allways played with on n swhroud regrows makes them lil engineers annoing at start i would quickly use cheap barbed wire to sorrund my first 2 buildings that r rly rly important being ur con yard n first powereplant n than u dont gotta worry so much bout the ai geting through ur line with a eng n gettin ur con yard ]' / ]'/[\ \

To be fair there wasn't supposed to be RA2 in the first place. EA "gently nudged" Westwood towards making it as a priority because RA was popular enough for EA to notice. And after it they just said "You know what? Would be a shame if your art direction was changed by somebody who couldn't care less about the ongoing plot of C&C", made TS _way_ less grim than originally planned and turned WW into EALA. Slow death, unforseen, unforgiving, starts from there. Wish time machines were a thing and somebody could go back, dissuade WW from unwittingly starting to dig its own grave, and funded it while they're at it.

oh ya dem missions where hard the missions in the underground bunkers where u only had a few soldiers like da ones where u had to find and destroy the serin nerve gas plants n scientists god i miss hitin some ones base with a nuke cwhen they thought they where safe behind their tesla coils and aa guns or sam sites and turrets n pill boxex or flame rowers n boom poewers down no more tesla coils zaping my troops and no turrets shootin at my tanks slowin my advance down n pill boxes killin my oin like my mechanics i allways had in my army to repair my tanks in the field like how my medics are healing my inf. crono tank in to finish off damaged buildings or get crono tanks and a reg tank useing the xhrnosphere itself n drop in a reg tank in with ur crono tanks so u can hlp me out siencevtheir armor is weak use a geg tank to take hits for em as they are rechargeing so i could crono em back to the saftey of my base and a repair pad

It does and doesn't. C&C Retaliaion was a Playstation only compilation of Red Alert Counterstrike and Red Alert Aftermath. The missions were largely the same, but they had new cutscenes in between. The first decade just has Counterstrike and Aftermath in their original from. General Carville (from RA2) was actually first seen in this game.

The only command and conquer game that they ever released on the 64 was the original Command and Conquer which i have since i could never find the playstation one. "Sharp Graphics" but without cutscene. I'm pretty sure i would've remembered Retaliation being released on the 64 cause i used to read alot of gaming mags back in the day

The only reason i never got very far into the expansions for Counterstrike and Aftermath was quite simply the fact that they didnt have any cutscenes. Instead just a text ''do this to win'' before dumping you into the mission. By having videos (am now installing Red Alert and all expansions and will add the FMV's to play through the expansions completely FOR THE FIRST TIME despite owning them for half my life.
