Command & Conquer: Generals - GLA Campaign Playthrough Part 1 (Black Rain, No Commentary)

This is the GLA Campaign Playthrough for Command & Conquer: Generals.
Playing on hard difficulty which is actually 'normal' difficulty I believe with no commentary. Running on max graphics, game LoD set to off.
The game has been slightly modified to fit a widescreen resolution(1080p), a higher camera height (510.0), drawentireterrain has been set to yes(better quality textures), game compatibility set to windows xp sp3(enables the menu animation) and the game dynamic level of detail set to no(allows game to show full graphics).

GLA faction is my favourite. It's been 8 years, I don't know whether u return to check on your old video's comments. UPDATE: Good news! My youtube monetization review was approved! Got my channel re-monetized after being demonetized for 2.5 months! Thanks for all the support! KZbin has decided to demonetize my channel, including all my videos. Their reasoning is because of 'reused' content'. My gaming videos are of my own recorded gameplay and I don't reuse my content. Know this comment is two years to late, but I thought I should let you know. This game is banned in China lol because as China the super weapon is nuclear missiles.

@@drhumbult8289 Actually I believe it was because in a few missions, specifically the second and third Chinese missions, you as a Chinese General are ordered to completely level a convention center in Hong Kong and destroy a vital dam that even according to lore, causes multiple civilian casualties, environmental damage and power issues. Basically it really, really doesn't make China look good to its own people.

Except the Chinese outpost you had to destroy, the Bunkers and the dam, I captured EVERY SINGLE CHINESE structures. Even the ones on the riverside. I just sold it after capturing it.

yep most of missions take place in Kazakhstan. 3rd mission is even in Astana

If you search on the internet you will find that gla origin is from Kazakhstan but then they stretched out to other countries and spread everywhere

Is it possible to pass this mission without destroying the hydroelectric dam and just by eliminating every Chinese base structures and units?

I've actually done that a few times when I used to be able to play this game. Due to this I also know that no, the mission will not end until that dam is destroyed. Makes sense, since that is the whole purpose of this GLA mission.

@@Ohflipsnap Indeed. Imagine if the GLA didn't destroy the dam or the other one from the Chinese mission, the GLA should use them to power up their bases since the USA and PLA has its own power supply of Cold Fusion Reactors and Nuclear Power Plants.
