Command: Modern Operations is the next generation in cross-domain modern wargaming. It enables you to simulate every military engagement from post World War II to the present day and beyond. The scale is primarily tactical/operational, although strategic scale operations are also possible.

Its not a game. Its a simulator. You basically click on stuff and watch numbers. Its not supposed to be fun...

@@kokoinmars It is super fun, just takes a lot of time to get into. You can simulate pretty much any post WW2 air/naval conflict, including surface engagements, air battles large and small, sub actions, amphibious landings, anything is fair game. If you put in the time to learn it can be a great game. Also, the UI is customizable. It does have a lot of info and buttons, but it is better than the previous one by far.

micromanaging all those individual units is not very realistic though...that is not how that works; you're not a squad leader at the strategic/operational levels...that's for the tactical level down in the Company/PLT/SQD/Team/Crew/Individual level; unless the person making a simulation has actual experience running those types of operation in real life then the BS meter starts kicking off.
