It tutors for some important cards and draws a good amount( kinda has to since it's got a lot of lands). It is one of my favorite decks it's slow and fun to combo off at times! Hit your opponents, draw some cards. Ping people to death with things like reckless flameweaver. Some extra combat cards in there to keep it going. Not too fast or consistent, so it isn't really above the normal power level.

Odd that these two cards cost so many tix. Another budget friendly deck of mine that I think can be pretty fun is this B/W lifegain shenanigans deck led by Karlov of the Ghost Council. I originally designed this for the last time you guys did Viewer Submissions, but didn't get to submit it in time. It's a deck that's almost always doing something, and it can win out of nowhere. deckstats.net/decks/52244/789770-karlov-of-the-ghost-council-ed/en This last one's a bit of a cheater since it's somewhat over budget, but that's only because of two really important cards: Dread Summons and Life From the Loam. It's led by an old favorite of Jen's: Sidisi, Brood Tyrant, but instead of a reanimator strategy at the helm, the theme is self-mill/dredge. It's got some old Dredge favorites like Golgari Grave-Troll, but some more interesting cards that become more powerful than you might think, like Extractor Demon and Centaur Vinecrasher. It's all about milling yourself for value, and occasionally, maybe getting that Lab Maniac win. It's all about manipulating your own life total and drawing millions of cards.

This might be the first time I've literally wanted to try playing all 4 decks used in an episode. Most weeks I enjoy watching all the decks, but really only want to play 1 or 2. This week was amazingly fun to watch, and all 4 decks look fantastic to play. Thanks for the amazing content, guys!

I've never seen Sidar Kondo played in such a way. Usually it's just a mindless weenie card that isn't open-ended enough to be used in versatile ways, I'm happy that Tomer surprised me with a oddball partner combination.

Griffon Canyon, land, untap target griffon and it gets +1/+1 till end of turn. I use the exact same card in my mtgo mistform edh deck. He is my favorite commander to play with. So many fun rando creature type matter cards in magic. While I doubt it was myself, I kinda hope I was the person who played against Tom.

There was absolutely no point attacking with a 1/1 and 2/2 without ludevic or edric at that point with the dude next to you with xenagos and a potential 12/12. At the very least, should've kept the wood elves back. I really dont get what she was thinking, "hurr durr everyone got haste might as well attack, right?". That was a big fail on her part but still I feel Tomer fail with that land situation was worse.

by 43:33 Tomer could easily "combo" with emeria shepherd and his forest. Basically, you play emeria shepherd, play the forest, them bring back sakura tribe elder from the graveyard to your hand thanks to Shepherd's landfall ability. You then play the sakura, sacrifice it to go search a plains, Emeria retrigger, but this time, since a Plains entered the battlefield, Shepherd triggers again, bringing Sakura on the battlefield this time, you sacrifice it to go search another plains, making a loop where you go search, one plains at the time, until there are none left in the deck. that means that Tomer could've played Every Plains of his deck, and most importantly, assemble Kaldra the other turn!

I wish Tomer had cast creeping renaissance on that last turn, I think it would trigger hammer of nazan and he would have been able to load up Kaldra to the heavens. Would have been really fitting for him to swing with the biggest Kaldra in history to win the game.

Tomer at one point had emeria shepherd on his hand, and when he had more than 7 cards on hand decided to discard lands instead of other permanents. if he didn't want to get burned by ruric, he should discard the equipments and bring them to the field from the grave with emeria shepherd's landfall ability. He has all the piece right in order and still... I'm starting to think he just does those misplays on purpose. After all this time, he should be able to think and plan better strategies, for the current turns and the next ones.

Im going to say that I dislike xenagos deck. It always leads to shorter games and I like to see you durdle, not someone getting oneshoted early. Also, I LOVED the mistform ultimus deck. He is one of my favorite creatures ever, and the deck was super spicy. I would love to see it played again

-I made a janky "everything tribal deck for you because you are master of every tribe -I made deck that will keep you in game because you are often out first -I made kaldra deck because you are kinda known from trying to assemble kaldra -Oh I went with the Xenagos. It does not have theme or any reason really to be in this episode but I have him altered in paper. Oh for fuck sake! It could at least have been Xenagos elf tribal as santa with elves or something. Is there even any thought put to it? Just because deck is green-red does not mean it is fun in "santa themed" episode. I miss season 2...

MaruderSlayer The only constraint they had was "do a deck that this player will play next game", so the Christmas theme wasn't imposed at all. To be fair, Tom is Known as the go-face GR player. Xenagod is The go-face GR commander, so Jen did a great job making it a go-face deck, with the entwine quadruple damage (doublestrike plus second attack phase). While it's true that she brings less "original" decks, she's another facet of commander, and we can't blame her for that

That's Jen in a nutshell. "I could make a fun deck that I know the person would like, or I could just make a try hard deck and use it to say 'see, Tom does it too'". I mean the fact that the deck was all about her and how she got it altered for her husband reminds me of that one person who gets you something not because you would like it, but because she likes it

@Jérémie Lépine I blame nobody, I just dislike it and I have every right to do so. I used to love commander clash but it's getting more and more sad watching yet another archenemy game. Plus sure, there may not be any constraints, but that not what it's all about. We in theory could watch 20 or so minutes episode with some kind of storm every week, you could fit one most of the times, but it would not be fun, at least not for me. As I said I blame nobody for how they want to play the game, however I can dislike appearance of pure spike in more of a casual eviroment. To be fair - I'd like to give her credit for one deck. Wizzard of Oz deck, or whatever the movie name was, it was so cool, and I really hoped then that she gets it now. Well, she does not. I'm glad her deck lost this episode. Tbh every episode gets better for me when she is already out. And this episode I got better for me when Tom was out. I could watch funny people doing funny stuff, and that's what I hope every week.

To be fair, the kaldra deck was actually an insane equipment decks that could have dominated the game enteritely if not for tomer punts and miss secuencing (which might be intentional to not become the archenemy). I think that you're being a bit too unfair on jen, as tomer's deck ended as powerfull if not more than tom's, and really the only thing for flavor was kaldra. So yeah, her deck was christmas at all, but no one said it was chirstmas theme, and tom LOVES to ramp into big things, so I think the deck was great for him. I do personally dislike xenagos decks, because they go face way to fast and I love my durdly slow games of drawing cards, but the same can be said for equipment's cat, he goes too big too fast, and I personally prefered season 1 & 2 commander clash wher the games were durdly and filled with blue.
