It'll be sad to see Tom go, I actually really enjoyed his presence this season. Just very collected and chill and that's such a good energy to bring to a game. One of the things my pod has been experimenting with is like, limited archetype games. For ONE we all played a deck around a two-color legend from ONE and their representative draft archetype. I got to play Oil Counter Migloz and honestly it was a lot of fun playing cards I otherwise wouldn't!

Tom was always so great to watch. I went from never seeing him before to him quickly becoming a favorite youtuber to watch play. Such a humble guy, he disclosed everything that was in his decks so therefore wasn't obscure about power levels to get a leg up over others, never got salty or upset or brought the energy down, doesn't waste time trying to redirect (politic) small amounts of damage to other people, just took everything as it was and understands that it's just a game.

My terrible suggestion: Tie week. The goal is to get a tie/draw, the more people in the draw the better. The winner is the one that forces the tie. Immediately one card comes to mind, but nuking every player for 40, or one could go full ghandi and pull some sort of static lock where everyone has platinum angels haha. Sluggish to no belief? maybe who knows, but sure to include some creative "wincons".

Re Avg game length: include the median (middle value of the set) to get a better idea of the length of your games. If it is super off the average you know you have a couple really long games, if it is close you know the average is fairly representative.

Mtggoldfish nerd here : i believe that crim already pulled the narset wheel combo before and used it to exile seths whole graveyard when he was playing hogak. Also While that might be the only occurence i remember for crim, tomer fails to mention that he actually narset wheeled himself when he was playing banned cards tribal with 4 color omnath at the helm. Also quick suggestion could we see the color charts withouth 5 colors decks counting as the use of a color?

Re: graveyard hate, there's so much new stuff with it randomly stapled on. I'm trying to more frequently include it, by giving it a bit more weight when evaluating. This week I drew Armored Scrapgorger a couple times, and it held down an opponent both times. It was even impactful enough it got me killed once, when someone decided to king make _by removing the Scrapgorger_, and it unlocked the Sidar Jabari player's game plan and come after me for revenge. Froghemoth had already proved itself to be good in Xenagod, and I'm looking to try Urborg Scavengers once I pick up Aftermath cards.

Here is the problem with Crim's auto-include complaint with Green; He treats Black and Blue with just as many auto-includes if not more. Black or White is going to have the exact same suite of Sweepers and removal, same with Blue and counterspells. It is ok to just say that you irrationally don't like a color. You don't have to (poorly) justify it. Different strokes.

A theme that could be cool would be something like "Patron week". Each player has someone other than them chosen at random that has to win, no matter the cost, and only them are awared of that. Example: Tom has to make Crim win, no matter the cost, and only Tom knows that. Phil has to make Tomer win, and only Phil knows that, etc etc... I occasionnally have games like that with some friends, and it's always hilarious. We even sometimes spice it up by adding "you may also win if you lose first (without conceding of course)"

I agree with crim about green - it’s the most boring colour - but because it does the two most important things really well (ramp and card draw) I play it a lot as a splash colour because it makes the rest of the deck run so smoothly

"When you add green to a deck it just takes over the whole deck." Never heard something make so much sense. I've always shied away from playing a lot of green decks for this reason. Crim is yin, but Im yang! He adds black to every deck but I add white. Starting to think white is more versatile than black, you just need the card advantage to keep up.

To Tom's credit, Yuriko is a fairly popular UB cEDH deck. Even with having worse supporting cards she's one of the commander's that can just be oppressive with what she does.

Crim's deck was so expensive not just because of counterspells, but mana base. The grixis and esper lands tend to be the more expensive ones.

My group has recently ruled zeroed for ourselves that yoriko still requires commander tax with ninjutsu if cast from the command zone. And it is much better still really crazy at times but manageable.

Congratulations to another season of Commander Clash. Would you guys be interested in doing some sort of a point-based Gimmick system? One of my LGS that I used to frequent hosted a Commander Monday league during one of the summers, and they handed everyone who attended a little checklist that a whole assortment of things to do during the games, and at the end of the league, the person with the most points win a prize. Some of the things on the list included: First Blood (1 point) Have 100 or more Life at any given time in the game (1 point) Control 100 or more creatures at any given time in the game (2 points) Knock out a player (1 point per opponent) Knock out an opponent without dealing damage (2 points per opponent) Complete a "You win the game" condition (3 points) Win against all 3 opponents in one go (4 points) Save an opponent from losing (1 point each time, once per player per game) Play a different color combination each week (2 points) [Tallied at the end of the league] etc. This was around 10 years ago so there were less cards around and this encouraged players to expand their deck building options. Thought it would be a little interesting gimmick. And of course, with a much larger card pool now, more silly things can happen. Just food for thought.

Every time I think Crim is being too mean to Tomer in-game, I see the stats episode win-rates and realize his responses to Tomer's decks/game-actions are somehow justified, albeit a bit extreme (Tomer also won the most the season when Crim was absent, for example). I do wish Crim played a smidge more honestly though.
