Urborg is a swamp.... it only sometimes gets clipped by "non-basic land" cards. It is LITERALLY only bad in decks that ONLY run a handful of non-basics. It and its friendly yavi have 0 cost unless you are a full basic land deck. If Blood-moon or Back to basics etc cards are dropped, your full non-basic land deck will be crippled anyway. If you get droughted.... LOL

Seth mentioned switching to paper so you could play Archaeomancer's Map, maybe as half a joke, but let me just say please don't go back to Modo this format is so much better. I can finally tell what's happening all the time instead of just some of the time and I don't have to have scryfall open the whole time because I don't know what any of the cards published between 1998 and 2020 do. Now granted I've caught up a lot in the last 4 years, but still, this is just better. It's cleaner, we can see you guys, it's just better.

What Crim was doing wrong is that when his deck is doing its thing it's interacting with his opponents. Commander thrives on its only form of interaction being winning or comboing someone to (near) death.
@GrugGangGrugGangСағат бұрын
I don't know how clear Wizards have to make it so that people get this, they even called interacting with other players "Crimes".

Unfun is subjective. Armageddon shouldnt be banned. Literally just play around it cause its not good. Taking it doesnt win you games over taking something else. If Armageddon is making your games unfun your decks are bad. Sometimes people arent having fun cause they mad bad nonsense and no one else can make them have fun cuz they objectively just did something backwards.
@KyleTremblayTitularKtrey4 сағат бұрын
If you split out cedh from commander all you will have done is make cedh and a lower powered cedh, itd make commander competitive and since commander is popular mid grade cards would be shooting up in price like how pauper makes some commons more expensive. Pauper is the perfect example. Its 'casual' 60 card, but now its juat cheaper competitive
@KyleTremblayTitularKtrey4 сағат бұрын
What are you guys smoking? Of course you have to give power over the formst to wotc not the rc. Wotc prints the damn cards. Its the only people who can even BE an official authority. I swear these problems are attitude and mindset problems. Like people who cant understand natural law trying to force their game to ignore natural law and follow their artificial worldview. This is so strange. I dont get how ya'll can hold these thoughts.

Anyone else think that there is this underlying saltiness when they play? It seems like Crim and Seth do this whiney downplay politics that just results in people laughing through a bunch of salty moments when they could just own what they’re each trying to do in the game. I know the dynamics of any pod can get complicated, but maybe Seth and Crim in particular can own their game plans a little more and also accept that sometimes they’re justifiably a target.
@Umnoss5 сағат бұрын
Your shows are really funny, like a stand up comedy show. My only but is that they are becoming a bit repetitive: - Phil playing autistic without caring what's happening on the game. - Richard mindgaming the board avoiding being the target and pushing the rest to kill each other. - Seth killing Crim with 2-3 card's move just because he did something scary 10 turns ago. - Crim playing fair by targeting everyone equally, but being killed just because some cards are scary (even when he is not playing them in a devilish way). I really would like to see Seth targeting others but Crim, and Phil interacting with the rest a bit more. But besides that, I really like you, guys... and your shows.

Rulings for sundial on scryfall says that beginning of nex end step triggers will trigger on the next turn if you activate the ability to skip the current one. Should Richard have gotten omenpath back on Seth’s end step? Multitasking while watching may have missed something
@MTGGoldfishCommander4 сағат бұрын
So the trick is you need to wait until the trigger to return the card (in this case the Omenpath) is on the stack and then use Sundial to end the turn and it will say gone forever, if you do it at any other time it will return on the next end step.

Phil running out of gas is exactly why you shouldn't play "Elves" with Eladamri. I'm not saying you shouldn't put elves in your deck. You naturally put in tons. But elves shouldn't be the theme.

Fun game but the reason why Crim was out first is that he did hatebears wrong. He tried to have hatebears with a dog as commander and as much as I love dogs that does not work. he needed to go with Kudo. Not only is more on flavor but also gives you access to fun cards like Gaddock Teeg , Collector Ouphe and also the hexproof givers like Shalai. There are other fun things like having Elesh Norn make so nobody else can have creatures. You can also play nature's revolt and natural affinity with EN in play so nobody else has lands. If we're gonna do hatebear staxy things might as well go all the way

Must be exhausting to play against Crim every week.
@themonsoon1176 сағат бұрын
He really takes advantage of the lack of removal from the other players. Hatebears and stax counter a lack of removal very, very effectively, and everyone hard focuses Phil even when he's at less than half the life of other players with cards in hand. If Crim played to win more, he'd dominate the table, but he always goes for the meme play or shutting down another player even when it's pointless.
@JulioDRai6 сағат бұрын
@@themonsoon117 More like Crim knows if he went harder with his decks it would make him the #1 threat and would just take Phil's place in dying first every game so I'm pretty sure he does it on purpose lmao

@JulioDRai6 сағат бұрын
As a Sorin enjoyer myself I knew he was going to win the game with how the game was playing out especially since Crim was irrationally scared of Phil who was playing a pretty fair elfs deck (didn't see any combos in his deck) while holding onto a Teferi's Pro and then him and Richard were both popping off while Seth was unable to do much under the Winter Moon but he also had a slow start with a bunch of tapped lands and no soul sisters so they just ignored him.
