@@Infamous_wu13 doesnt help that the precon misunderstands his playstyle too. They expected u to keep recuring cheap creatures each turn instead of token generators that trigger off spells. And not enough instants to get value on each players turn

I'm not really a fan of Tasha's Hideous Laughter. Putting everyone to 1/4 of their deck doesn't exactly win you the game unless you were on a mill plan. It also doesn't affect the board, hands, or life totals. It's largely a "do nothing" play that potentially just fuels someone by filling graveyards.

Realise this video is a year old but I’ve built my Anhelo purely around spell duplication and Mill. Sat at a pod recently and a guy was playing Bruvac - we entered into the unholy pact of milling the other two then seeing who could mill the other first. Great fun.

Extort allows you to gain life equal to the total life loss (3 in this case). Excellent game! It was amazing to watch. Making Anhelo myself (pronounced in Italian?)

God damn I loved that Tivit deck, always thought it would be more of a battlecruiser deck but it really put in the work!

Similar to my personal Tivit build. I wanted to go the voting route but not all of the voting cards were all that great in Esper. Cyberdrive Awakener is a must since you get so much damage out of it with all the tokens you end up getting. Roughly about 8-9+ flying 4/4 artifact creatures. I would also lean a bit towards a sub-blink strat with Brago, Yorion, Conjurer's Closet, Spark Double vice versa to get even more tokens. Tezerret, Master of the Bridge is also great since you drain a lot of life from opponents with it. Filigree Angel gains you stupid amounts of life as well, especially if blinked. Aminatou is also in the colors. Urza is a powerful addition to turn some of those dead clues (and food you'd get with Academy Manufactor) into mana rocks. Kappa Cannoneer can easily become a one-hitter. Kamiz provides nice evasion or damage doubling. Astral Dragon is a super fun addition. Ruthless Technomancer is great for doubling on etbs or treasure generation. Tamiyo's Journal is also a great tutoring tool-could blink and use it again.

I also go the blink route and aim to intimidate my opponents with the sheer number of Clues that I have. Clues will spill out beyond the playing mat!

Same. Ditched combat altogether, blink mainly. Check out the new displacer kitten for this as well. If I’m not able to draw Cyberdrive I also have Marionette master and Nadier’s night blade for alternate win cons

@@trajanpb yeah, tossed in the kitten with the astral dragon and lae’zel’s acrobatics. Astral dragon with panharmonicon and tivit blinks get silly really quick. I tossed Kamiz in for some combat shenanigans. And considering Spark Double makes a 7/7 Tivit, the OG 6/6 Tivit gets double strike if they both swing.

One of my friends has a grixis deck whose sole goal is to get as many copies of Cruel Ultimatum onto the stack in one go as possible without going infinite. Current record is 28. Didn't win the game off it which is even funnier, he accidentally decked himself first 😂

Nice game! If you know you have a land drop during a turn, isn’t it better to sacrifice Bloodghast to casualty rather than the zombies? Bloodghast seems great with Anhelo!

Find people with similar power decks and enjoy playing with then play as a pod of 4 consistently and talk about cards you all find fun vs not and build a personal ban list/playstyle amongst yourselves. Once you all come to agreement on what makes for a fun game the better edh gets cuz the problem with randos is you never all agreed what type of game you want from playing together. Plus paying to play on top of that is a red flag to me especially if it's towards something like a prize pool cuz that's just gonna bring out the "try hards" who just want the prize at the end (even subconsciously people will add a combo or power up theyre deck cuz they want to win) it becomes more of an arms race than being about the experience when you only play to win
