The defiler cycle only allows you to pay 2 life for one of the pips in the spell. Maralen should have costed 1B + 2 life .

To clarify, should have costed 1B + 2 life even though Rowan was activated, because Rowan should not have been activated, as it cannot be activated at sorcery speed.

It also only applies to permanent spells which is fine for Maralen but later is used for a non-permanent spell but honestly, it happens and as long as they had fun playing thats what really matters. was one hell of a fun game to watch.

This game is rough, but really fun and entertaining to watch, I love this game, it was a lot of fun. But what Rebell did was fucking brutal, and she did it with a smile on here face that says "Hi, lets have fun, wit hem watching you die in pain and agony to my bullshit." I have this fun little deck that I named "Landrise", with Soul of Windgrace as the commander. It utilizes landfall effects but is fun because you can play lands from the graveyard. Just last night I had 15 lands etb from the graveyard. Had a Crash of the Rhino Beetles which already had enough land for the +10/+10. It also had a Blackblade Reforged and a Trailblazer's Boots on it. Moraug, Fury of Akoum was also in play before i got the 15 lands from the graveyard. 15 combat phases back to back BABY! That's not how defiler works..... only triggers once per permanent spell. I might have to finish the video, but i find it funny that one of the players says something about it being once, then lets Joe do it twice for one spell lol. Fun should trump rules, but that's more of a D&D thing lol
