Commander Keen 6 glitchless% (hard) -

Commander Keen 6: Aliens Ate My Babysitter! version 1.0, DOSBox version 0.74 at max 100% cycles. The purpose of max cycles is to minimize level loading times.
"Glitchess%" category is defined as ignoring major time-saving glitches to complete levels "as intended". This includes Impossible Bullet Trick, key storage, death exits, and any major map errors. Glitches may occur during the run, but they do not save significant time.
Start time is the frame Keen begins movement; end time is the frame the screen turns black after colliding with Molly (the tied-up person at the end of the run). Frame-count is a 13:48, whereas my own real time measured a low 13:49, it's not much of a difference.
A lot like the run I used to have, except I introduce "true" glitchlessness in Bloogfoods and save a good 25 seconds in other places. Still didn't get good Bobba luck at the Management District, but what are you gonna do?

Interesting that glitchless disallows impossible bullet trick for K6. It might be interesting to create a minor glitch category of K6 where IBT is allowed but more major stage ending glitches are forbidden.

The only level I've tried speedrunning was the "Bloogbae" one (lower one on the space platform) within the time it takes to play "I'll Be Good" (video version) by Rene and Angela. (On hard, under 4 minutes).

Why Keen didn't die in 12:44 on spikes?

Keen has a brief period of invulnerability upon entering a new area (e.g., from a door): there's barely enough time to pass through the spike with this period. As far as I can tell it's intended because the designers didn't want you immediately dying to something you can't react to, we just happen to exploit it for this one spike. The invulnerability can also be seen a few seconds later, entering a door just as a deadly projectile hits Keen.

This brings back memories :) One question though, why didnt you use the pogostick more? If my memory serves me right (which it might not) you should be able to move faster by pogo-stick jumping even on flat surfaces.

That's da TRUEST COMMENT over here !!!!! (Even if CK5 was SERIOUSLY DOPE & NOSTALGIC TOO). CK4 was okay, & nostalgic too, 1-2-3 too ! That's my opinion, u can tell yours, IF U DAAAHAAARE !!!!
