Ah I got this exciting episode at a good time. I was just feeling a bit sour about the replacement package I received from Wizards of the Coast today for double masters. 4 months later and I was quite disappointed after sharing my story with them. But this episode was a nice surprise thanks to all who put it together!

Tell more about why he's your favorite. I don't know if it's just the part of the country I'm from, or maybe my demographic, but I immediately lose the comfortable, "hanging out with the guys" feeling when someone starts talking about what a big, important job he has. Is Gavin's positive attitude toward his "unprecedented" job responsibilities just another flavor of positivity for you? I'm really curious, especially to hear from someone who freely admits to having a job that's partly pretend. ;)

I don’t know i don’t interpret him talking about how innovative the set is as negatively as I think you are. I really like hearing him talk about how the development went down of the set and getting a peek behind the curtain. I can tell he really does love the set, and I think it’s ok for him to be proud of it. And I think he brings in a nice positive vibe. The only downside is Richard isn’t here! I’m usually a Richard stan.

Yes, his budget decks have become a meme in that they are often more powerful than non-budget versions, but still...he asked, so...yeah I’d like to see him do that a bit more.

I guess it might be in the pipeline, but I just wanted to give my feedback on a little gripe I have with the Estrid precon. It's really difficult to protect a planeswalker commander in an enchantress deck. The other walkers can just run boardwipes, but the enchantress list doesn't want to kill its own enchantresses. Just wanted to give my two cents. Estrid is my favorite commander.

Once I played a game of commander legends against B/W lifegain, and I was playing the same deck, but vampires themed, The game lasted 2 hours and ended in the other guy conceding, we couldn't get anywhere because we were both just gaining life and not even coming close to loss of life that would end the game

Counterbalance only reveals the top card, it doesn't move it anywhere. It just stays on top of your library and you can draw it later.

So I just realized something about the commander clash logo. In the bottom right its clearly Seth's and its his turn. Tomer in the bottom left is yelling at him to actually progress the game instead of doing the cool thing he wants to do. Crim in the top left is volunteering to get second. And Richard who always seems to go after crim is telling seth to just do his cool thing, hoping everyone ignores him long enough.

The logo predates Crim and the roles have changed but it is a cool insight.
