I second this. Especially the more tech tree lines. I never even really cared about the graphics. I enjoyed the gameplay, and the grounded aesthetic. They started to wreck that aesthetic with some of their gaudy camos later on, but I could easily ignore that.

No WG, we don't want to hear your half-cooked explanations, keep the game as it is right now, you just have to do this to not screw your own game and the money of thousands of players: -keep crew voice lines -give pbr to maps and all tanks -give us a new tech tree or two -more maps and bigger maps and game modes -keep the tech tree, sets are hella confusing -if you want to add commanders, add them, but in a realistic way, standard historical characters for each nation that doesn't take away the sense of ownership that we the player have over OUR tanks, give them national uniforms. (If you want to monetize commanders just sell out clothes and uniforms. And keep the current skills system that we can have sets of skills for each tank that we play with each commander that we decided to aply them to...and IF u want more money just add famous historical commanders that we have in medals (Carius, Knispel, etc...) -If you want to sell tanks like what you did on sets just add an open store with all of the tanks for us the players to buy them directly and quit that store rotation. You can gain money with historical camos, there are tons of them, and goofy blitz nation tanks or more premium/collector tanks. -Keep the old restoration system, we THE PLAYERS, have spent money on those tanks even if we sold them, it is OUR MONEY, you just cannot erase our money like that... -Keep the WR and Stats, we have put effort in improving our skills just for you to erase them and make the game casual and unchallenging, Blitz is a competitive game that WE THE PLAYER, even if we have 40% or 70% we have put effort in playing and grinding DON'T SCREW THE GAME THAT WE PLAYED AND WE PAID FOR!

Who exactly gave you this feedback? Because I’ve been part of this community long enough to know that nobody was asking for this. Did you guys just pull random ideas out of a hat? Or maybe roll some dice to decide what to ruin first? Do you even realize how much time and effort players have poured into this game? The grinding, the strategy, the actual fun-all of it feels like it’s being thrown in the trash. And for what? Some grand “vision” that absolutely nobody except you asked for? Oh, but I’m sure you’ll say it’s all to “improve the experience.” Improve it for who, exactly? Certainly not the players who made this game what it is today. I also played the UE5 “Reforged” test server, from Europe. This "game" you plan for us to go to and "play" is SO AWFUL IN SO MILLION WAYS !!!!!! Let me explain the reasons: NEW TECH TREE (SETS) ??? A freaking joke ! I spend 25 to 30 minutes to find the tank i wanted to play with. And when i wanted to play with another tank it took me another 15 minutes to find it…! It’s WAY too difficult for any kind of player (old and new especially) to navigate. If you did all this crap in order to make a newbie life easier, then you failed miserably ! Everything in the new one is Hard, Hard, Hard. You took a perfect tech tree which was very easy to use, to learn, to get accustomed to and turned it into a mathematical equation FFS !!! The worst interface in any game i have ever played, and trust me i have played them ALL (46 years of age gamer). Bottom line: Discard this horrible thing and keep the OLD tech tree as it was perfect ✅ COMMANDERS ??? They are awful ! Their voice is confusing and stupid at the same time. I took their volume to zero. Their design & style ? Awful ! It was like i woke up to a Fortnite nightmare. At least you could have added real people WW2 Commanders. But nooo, you had to please the “woke” agenda. Also i want to add that knowing the “way you think” company you are (as an 8 years player) i know FOR A FACT, that sooner or later you are going to add “special” buy only overpowered Commanders in the game. Don’t even try to deny this, i am SURE you are going to do this in the future (a year from now for example when voices will be quitter then). That’s a huge No, No for me. Bottom line: Discard everything that has to do with commanders and keep the OLD crew skill system as it was perfect ✅ GRAPHICS ??? Are you kidding me Wargaming ? This is a step forward into the future ??? I have a 7.000 € 2024 high-end PC with every component hand picked and designated as “best in the world that money can buy”. I put everything Ultra in the game and let me tell you, your “new” graphics were awful in every aspect of the game. Full of grain, full of pixels, alot of fogginess, terrible graphics quality, laggy as hell, and colors that makes your eyes bleed from hurting after a while. The OLD graphics compaired to this so called “new and improved UE5”, is like comparing the Mona Lisa (old) to a garbage bin (new). Bottom Line: DON’T go to this crap looking UE5 and keep the OLD looking graphics as they were perfect ✅ SOUND ??? The tank moving does not sound at all as a tank moving as the OLD one did. The shells firing sound crappy as hell. “Pew pew” instead of “KABOOM” in the old one. You can’t feel the power of a canon firing in this crap as hell sound you got in the new one. Bottom line: Discard everything concerning the new sound as it sounds horrible and keep the OLD sound as it was perfect ✅ ECONOMY SYSTEM ??? You got to be f… kidding me…!!! You added “steel”, “keys”, and i don’t know how much more crap, on top of what we already had (gold, credits, xp) ??? Why the hell did you do that ??? In order to have us spend EVEN MORE €€€ for the game we love THAN WE ALREADY DO ??? You didn’t had enough money earning each day already ??? Seriously now…??? FFS…! So instead of a crew systems that gives veteran player "a huge advantage", we go to a commander system where new players do not have all the commanders unlocked, and they are all level 1, whereas veteran player get "a huge advantage" by being able to level them up directly to max level, and they have more commanders from the go. Thanks for your comment! The most important thing about commanders is that they can be leveled up faster than crew perks. There is still a gap and experienced players have an advantage, but new players will be able, if they are interested, to level up commander skills faster (right now sometimes players spend years to upgrade crew). Regarding different commanders: we would not like there to be some overtly strong commander, we would like them to be equal in abilities, just have a varied gameplay style. That is, even if a newbie does not have all the commanders, he can still compete on the battlefield, having one leveled up one.

No. Just... no This update felt like a kid's game rather than the Blitz game I knew and loved since 2014. This feels like veterns such as myself are being negatively affected by this. Newbies are at a disadvantage against vets because they just started playing the game, and we have been playing your game since launch! It's kind of unfair that all of our efforts will potentially go down the drain like this. It's the same thing; vets will be able to upgrade the commanders sooner while newbies will have to grind for it. Isn't it ironic? Newbies will cultivate the skills to play the game along the way. It's like this is being instantly gratified upon them, therefore learning barely nothing except brute forcing with these commander perks. But not all players are patient enough, so they will just buy their way through the levels, therefore getting absolutely punished in higher tiers. Defeat and frustration in this game are what made us veterans skilled. We've spent countless hours adjusting our gameplay, watching guides, and learning from our mistakes. This is like rubber banding everyone into the same spectrum, no matter how hard one tries. In the end, it's all about skill development and learning from experience. Dear Developers, After playing the Ultra test, I can infer what (probably) makes most WOTB players stood against Reforged update: 1. The Appearances, Garage, and (maybe) Theme. Most players expect realism in WOTB. In some ways the classic theme of WOTB UI, Garage, Icons, Fonts, and the Tanks themselves give WOTB identical characteristics of a distinct tank game based on historical vehicles. In Reforged, these characteristics were revamped massively and mostly adapting cyberpunk themes rather than classical ones. Meanwhile, most players expect classic appearances from the game. 2. The Progression System Both WOT and WOTB were known for their progression system; The Tech Tree. The new progression system in reforged; "Sets", is useful, but in other way. Players enjoy progressing through tech tree of each specific nations, which are mostly more organized and making a feeling of completion and achievement upon proggressing. "Sets" As the main progression system somehow don't give players enough feelings of achievement and completion, also "Sets" Is more challenging for Newcomers to understand because they haven't known or discovered play styles of each different tanks. I don't say "Sets" Is pointless. In the other hand "Sets" Is useful for organizing non-tech tree tanks, for example; Halloween Tanks (Tankenstein, Dracula, Forest Witch, Helsing, Nightmare, etc.), Mad Game Tanks (Annihilator, Smasher, Rammer, Gravedigger, etc.), Defender Series, and Titan Series because they aren't obtained from the main progression (tech tree). Maybe "Sets" Can be a gallery or lists of tanks for each series; which tanks have been obtained, and what's included in the series. Just for suggestions; Tech Tree is for regular tanks obtained from main progression, meanwhile "Sets" is for special tanks that are obtained from certain events or secondary progression (obtaining collectors and premiums). I've played this game for more than 6 years. I've seen how it became a p2w. I've seen how more and more unrealistic and awfully painted tanks were added. But that did not make me delete the game. This update will. Instead of fixing 1-4 levels and making them mire interesting you just deleted them. Instead of adding historic commanders and heroes from ww2 you added Fortnite characters. Instead of adding more tech lines and historic tanks you DELETED the whole tech tree and painted tanks into clowns. Instead of adding more realistic and ww2 + early cold war themed maps you turned already existing ones into something from war robots. Instead if fixing the physics to make it more realistic like in world of tanks you make a rocket league physics. By the way, tier 3 was my favourite. The last tier where you wouldn't encounter tanks that look like they got thrown into the bismuth pool. Simple good old tactics, maps and tanks. You deleted it. That's the mark point.This is not the game we want to play. 80% of your playerbase is either someone who came from WoT or someone who wanted to play WoT but didn't have a PC. That abomination has nothing to do with WoT. No soul. No historic tanks. No historic maps. 70% if players will leave. I'm done. I've had a lot if good, fun memories about this game, but this is the end. And on top of all of that, instead of listening to your audience you are defending your point. You killed the game. If you're asking me, one reason new players have a hard time against veteran players is because they jump into the higher tiers waaaay too soon. I'm far from being a top tier player, but even I spent a lot of time in T5 and T6 tanks, merely to really get a grip on the basics. A lot of new players try to go to T8 or higher and heavily pay the price for it. They do not just have the updates on their tanks experienced players have, but they also lack in the experience department in general. I have only 637 hours in Blitz and have yet to notice a severe difference between my tanks and those of experienced players. What I do notice, is the difference in map and tank knowledge. Now, everyone is prone to mistakes, but I have seen players play the higher tiers that do not have the skill, nor experience to be there. The reason the gap is so large is because tanks of higher tiers can/are sold to inexperienced players, who then fight in the above mentioned situations. It invalidates the tech-tree and I doubt changes like this will have any effect. The way I see it, these commanders aren't going to change much, if anything at all. You're just 'resetting' the experienced players, but inevitably the gap will remain. If anything it'll become even larger and lead to frustration among long term players.

Dear Wargaming Team, Wow, I just wanted to say how incredibly impressed I am with the upcoming update for World of Tanks Blitz. It takes real talent to come up with changes so bold, so visionary, that they manage to turn a beloved game into something almost unrecognizable. I mean, why stick to the tried-and-true formula that millions of players have enjoyed for years when you can just throw it all away in one swift update? Genius, truly. Who needs a happy, loyal player base anyway? Pfft, overrated. Why listen to the community-the same group of people who’ve poured countless hours (and money) into your game-when you can just go ahead and "fix" something that wasn’t broken? Clearly, your strategy of ignoring feedback and making sweeping changes no one asked for is the perfect way to ensure long-term success. Just look at all the glowing reviews and enthusiastic responses online. Oh wait, my bad, those are angry mobs. And let’s talk about the effort it must’ve taken to alienate your player base on such a massive scale. I’m actually impressed. You’ve managed to unite the community-not in excitement for the update, but in sheer disbelief that this is the direction you’ve chosen to take. That’s a level of teamwork I didn’t even know was possible. But hey, I get it. Why settle for "fun" and "balanced gameplay" when you can shake things up and introduce changes that no one seems to want? Who needs progression systems that make sense or gameplay mechanics that reward skill when you can just hit the reset button and see what happens? It's bold. It's brave. It's... completely baffling. Bring the tech trees back. I listed some reasons why: First: The sets are worse for noobs to understand. I mean i as a fairly vereraned player(22k battles, 61% 30 day wr) can barely find anything on this shitty UI. No one knows where the set names come from, the little pictures show tanks that arent even in the set and I was only able to find tanks through the search tab. A new player doesnt know the tank names so he cant search them. And new players wont have a clue how the tiers work because some sets are 'till t5, some 'till t7. Second: it basically puts all tanks behind a massive paywall, even though you can earn some keys for free. there is still the problem that one will have to earn a resource in order to start a new line. Third: most of the sets dont make any sense. There ar just random tansk thrown into the sets, which are in no way similar to the playstyle of the other tanks in the set (e.g. 60tp set) Fourth: The required skill gets lost. One could buy a t7 tank for gold without need to play a single battle. This gives trolls more ground and noobs, since there will be no Noob MM, will ruin the higher tiers as well. Therefore there will be even more steam rolls (another problem which Wargaming said they will "fix" in reforged) Feel free to add more in the comments Then there is this new increadibly stupid currency called steel... Just why? Its useless and instead of reducing the equipment costs it makes equipment even more expensive and in addition one will have to exchange its silver to steel first. Just remove this whole currency and forget it. The next thing is that the graphics look horrible rn. Its not just that theire bad but the new style is just not nice to look at. Most of the maps are worse than before. Also the new UI of the garage (or base as they call it) looks very poor, but that is probably just me. Bring back that you can enter training rooms alone. This feature is crucial to learn positions on maps or to try things out. The whole commander thing is dine very badly as well, i think i dont have to explain it here. But personally i think that the old crew skill system wasnt unfair. That were hard earned advantages that made only a small impact most of the time. Very important as well is that we need and want back the mastery badges and medals, also change the after battle UI. And one big aspect was to look at other players stats and of course youre own stats. So bring back WR, basically leave the player tab UI the way it is now make it, so that you can look at other players stats again! Correct me or add in the comments and pray that WG listens to the community at least once.

That's an easy question to answer. The commanders look extremely similar to Fortnite skins to attract kids. Kids being kids will want more, and since Wargaming needs chronic gamblers for profits, kids are their target audience.
