Great video (you were the person I watched before I purchased my XYZ 3d printer). I actually work in Printing Industry (R&D), and was with a company called Gerber who invented the vinyl cutter. The ruler tip is great for transfer. Have you tried the soapy water trick for transfer to final substrate ? Another trick is to never pull and use a squeegee when applying. Always a great idea to gently pull your vinyl into position to make sure you get no vinyl lines. Once in position, you can squeegee. Most people pull and squeegee which sets the pressure sensitive vinyl with all the ugly lines etc Vinyl application is definitely an art form. The soapy water allows the noob to reposition until the very end. Pro's may no longer use it, but I found it helps. The little cricuts etc make great devices. Cheers and keep up the great videos.

Not sure why my original post didn't post. I appreciate the feedback. I do have a squeegee and I have used the soap trick. I think it's funny that you figured out that I was just kind of being lazy. I should have used the soap trick heat and a squeegee. I think the good vinyl like oracal and other automotive vinyls stretch a lot better for stuff like this.

Thinking about purchasing vevor 53” cutter. Do you choose the size and length of cut? Example a50”x20” curve or arc pattern. Are there programs for that or do you input this information? Thanks.

Why are you saying cricut like that, do you call the cricket bug a crit cut too?
@mickgibson3702 жыл бұрын
Why don't you make the Maker Made M2 do the job? All you have to do is the cutter! And I sure you know how to the cutter?
Dude use the silhouette software on your cricket machine it’s a way better program. Also the silhouette cameo 4 is way better. The way you went step by step on the cricket program take way to long. Time is $ & that cricket program is making you loose $. Also the cricket products suck.

A real vinyl cutter isn't that high ....so buy a real cutter heck you can buy a Roland or graphtec for only 2000.00 and make as big or long as you want....instead of cutting just butterflies and unicorns
