Hey man, can you tell mi how tall are you and which size did you choose? I see number plate - sou you are compiting, right? I am 187 and can´t make a decesion ... L or XL ... notu sure about 508 reach vs 488 (but when I look for GEO chart, L seems a little bit smaller to me ... ). Thx

I am 179cm and I have a Large and I find it too big, the wheel base is super long and with a -5mm headset cup I still find the reach slightly too big, this year I will buy flip chips for the rear wheel to shorten the wheel base because at I moment it is slightly to big to move around in tighter slower sections in race tracks I have raced. I think I would need size M/L, which I am kinda making my large fit now with shortening the reach and wheel base. If you get a L or XL you can always make is a little small or bigger, just depends what feels best for you 👍

It doesn’t matter aluminum or carbon. The V5 is the best aluminum downhill frame in the world. Commencal only makes aluminum bikes.

Feel it bro broke my pelvis in 7 places tailbone in two rebroke my L1 in two former fracture locations and half set of ribs but must say that was no more than 5 years back and your crutches are way nicer that is after the wheelchair which I did for 30 days but only at the end of the day man when I was worn out but definitely the first week for sure with thought of crutches basically it sucks so it’s gonna suck now or later so best your already at where you are at because you will be riding again faster. Don’t let your mind fuck your fun mate.

Does the frame crack like the v4 supreme?

Not that I know of 😅, I keep my bike well maintained and do regular bolt checks, unless your bolts are loose or something causing extra stress then maybe you will get cracks, but that’s with any bike. And I haven’t heard of any problems with the V5 frame and haven’t had any.

@@lucasdaines691 I only thought the v5 supreme cracks as easy as the v4. Because i have red many coments about the v4 frame cracking easy . But i think they have solved the issue on the v5.

@@janikhochenberger8522 ya I had a V4 for 2 years before my V5 and it had never cracked, but I have heard people have had problems with it. But ya I think the V5 the cracking has been resolved.
